Thank you everyone for all of the calls, text, food and most of all Prayers! It had been almost a month since I rode last, I didn’t quite feel natural on the bike all day. Coming out of a corner the rear end slid out and it stood the bike straight up. It’s instinct to plant your foot to stop the fall but unfortunately the bike hit my planted foot right at the top of my boot and broke my Tibia and Fibia. My Leatt brace saved my neck for sure! They tried to set the bones late Saturday night but unfortunately they didn’t line up very well. I had surgery Sunday morning to put in a plate with six screws. I’m home now and on some really strong pain medicine but I’m able to relax and sleep. Doctor says I’ll be out for 6 weeks so hopefully back on the bike within a couple months.
