If someone can go quiet on you without wondering how it affects you, pay attention.
If someone can create distance and feel no urgency to close it, pay attention.
Because people who care don’t just disappear when you mean something to them.
They don’t leave you questioning your worth or wondering where you stand in their life while they carry on unbothered.
They don’t ghost you or discard you and expect you to be okay with the confusion they leave behind.
It’s not about needing constant communication or reassurance; it’s about respect and consideration.
It’s about knowing that your presence in someone’s life actually matters to them.
When someone values you, they show up, they check in, and they make the effort.
So if they can pull away and feel nothing, if they can leave you in silence without an explanation, without effort, and without care, don’t chase clarity from someone who’s comfortable giving you confusion.
Someone who values you won’t put you through that, and if your absence doesn’t matter to them, your presence was never truly valued by them in the first place, and you deserve someone who values your presence and who can't wait to be with you.
