Since 1967, Senior Resources has served Columbia's frail and elderly residents in three areas:
1) In-home services, including Meals on Wheels, home care, respite care, senior companion services, and case management;
2) Community-based services, including congregate meals, wellness centers, transportation, and physical fitness;
3) Volunteer services, including the Senior Companion program and Fost

er Grandparent program. Senior Resources offers a variety of programs so that our clients can select the assistance they need to maintain a healthy and independent lifestyle. With the support of our staff and volunteers, our services touch the lives of more than 4,000 Midlands residents.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Blanchard family and Joe's Wish for their generous $25,000 partnership in support of our nutrition program.

This impactful contribution will help provide approximately 2,600 meals to seniors in our community, support multiple meal delivery routes, and assist with rising food and transportation expenses.

Partnerships like this play a vital role in ensuring older adults have access to nutritious meals and the support they need to remain healthy and independent.

This week's Route of the Week came with some very special volunteers! The students and leaders from Vacation Bible School traded crafts and games for meal bags and delivery routes as they helped serve seniors throughout Richland County.

From packing meals in the kitchen to delivering smiles at seniors' doorsteps, these young volunteers put their faith into action and helped make a meaningful difference in our community.

Every delivery is more than a meal. It's a friendly face, a quick check-in, a moment of connection, and a reminder that someone cares.

Our volunteers don't just deliver food—they deliver comfort, consistency, and community.

And sometimes, if you volunteer long enough, you start coordinating outfits with the Volunteer Coordinator. 😄 (We're looking at you, Bill and Evan!)
