Mid-MO Stars Baseball 14U Competitive Baseball Team from the Mid-Missouri area Our boys have been practicing hard and are looking forward to a great season.

The Mid-MO Stars are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to provide boys, ages 14 and under, with education and opportunity to participate in competitive baseball while learning advanced skills, responsibility, teamwork, accountability, sportsmanship and many other attributes that will help them in life. Your donation will go toward our goal of developing them and allowing them to enjoy a positive experience they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Our page has been quiet because things change. Boys turn into young men and priorities change. Baseball may be the focus of their future, or it may not.

Tonight, I bring you my favorite picture. The highest of the highs. The boys were never the best at starting a new season. In previous seasons, the rust was always hard to shake off, but, this night, they shook off that rust in epic fashion.

It has been a real ride, and these young men and their families are simply the best. As many of them move on, I want to thank them. I want to thank them for the highs. I want to thank them for the lows. I want to thank them for the okay. I want to thank them for all they gave to my son. I want to thank them for great times in the Missouri heat. I want to thank them for so many late nights spent in endless hotels enjoying the families.

My last rally clap is for you, Stars fans. Thank you for allowing me to bring these young men to you - week in and week out. It has been an honor and a privilege.

"It's hard to beat a person who never gives up." -Babe Ruth

These young men gave it everything they had. As the #5 seed, their games started at noon on Sunday, and they just kept chipping away to the championship. The first game ended pretty easily. The second game against the #1 seed was a fight to the end. The championship game was a struggle as it took a lot of pitching to just get to that game. However, the boys made no excuses, and they just kept playing. In the end, they finished in second, leaving everything on the field.

Afterwards, medals were handed out quickly and we all left the ballfield, forgetting to take a team picture. We were more concerned about getting on the road for home. However, there are moments that make you stop and think. On my walk to the car, I overheard a player from the other team say, "Geez, Dad. That team just never stops even when they are losing." This morning, I realized what high praise that is. That is some serious respect, Stars. You deserve it, and you earned it. It is hard to beat a team that just never gives up.

A baseball tournament is not always defined by wins or losses. Sometimes, it is defined by things beyond our control like the Missouri weather. After the lightning and rain delay, the boys still brought home a medal, but our baseball family brought home a story. You really can fit 30+ people under an easy up tent. Lots of laughs were shared by all. It was baseball family at its finest.

These boys don't know how lucky they are to have you! Whether you are getting the stains out of their ball pants, driving them to the next practice, or cheering for each boy as if they were your own, we appreciate all you do. We love you, Stars Moms!

The Mid-MO Stars are champions again! These boys played their hearts out to bring home the GMB Can of Corn Classic championship rings. It was a great weekend of baseball with lots of big hits and some great defensive plays. A special "Tick, Tick, Boom" goes out to #7 Logan Botkins and #13 Shane Brown for their first dingers, and how great was it to see #12 Jack Rogers getting a little outfield action after being injured earlier this year?

In the end, the Stars were the #1 seed after pool play, went 4-0 for the tournament, and outscored their opponents 54-20.

Way to getcha some, Stars! We are so proud of you!
