Soccer athletes can be categorized into one of four zones:

1. Developmental - athlete requires dedicated focus on both speed and prolonged cardiovascular endurance

2. Endurance Dominant - athlete has strong cardiovascular endurance but is lacking top end speed.

3. Speed Dominant - max velocity and top end speed are proficient, however the athlete lacks prolonged aerobic capacity.

4. Complete Player - the athlete is proficient in both top end speed as well as aerobic capacity.

Speed and endurance are measurable qualities that directly impact how you perform on the field:

✔️ Can you separate from a defender in the first 5–10 yards?
✔️ Can you repeat high-intensity sprints late in the game?
✔️ Does your speed drop off as fatigue sets in?

These are all questions we aim to find answers to in the USR Soccer Evaluations that are specifically designed for soccer athletes.

Big day of PRs in power, speed, and strength for !

His 3” vertical jump and 4” broad jump improvements and .2 reduction off his 5-10-5 time is a testament to his consistency and hard work!

He also set a new back squat PR of 315 for 8 reps earlier this morning! The work is working! .sudduth

Rehab and performance are often treated as two separate worlds… but the truth is they should work together.

As a Sports Physical Therapist and Performance Coach, my goal isn’t just to help athletes get out of pain — it’s to help them return to sport stronger, faster, and more explosive than before.

Whether you’re a middle school athlete learning proper movement, a high school athlete chasing the next level, or someone coming back from injury, the process should always include:

Too often athletes finish rehab and are simply told they’re “cleared.” But being cleared doesn’t mean you’re prepared.
