GOOD MEMORY
September 19, 2018

Wow it was an amazing first practice for season 2 of the St. Marys Competitive Shooting Team. We had 17 athletes 8 jv and 9 varsity. The varsity worked on sporting clays and jv worked on trap singles. The 4 new girls had the honor of Dale Royer and Caitlin Connor of USA 🇺🇸 shooting helping out. Yes Caitlin Connor who just won gold🥇last Monday in Korea. Also after quick work Rob Rysavy our president and Dan Mersman coach and head of transportation got the athletes a bus to and from the gun club. Johannes dad Nate Grauvogel generously volunteered to drive. Thanks to coaches John, Tim L., Tim R. and Todd C for helping.Wow what a difference from 1 year ago it all is. So much more secure and confident we all are.

Sunday September 13th we hosted a “try it” day for potential new St. Mary’s students. We had 12 students come out. Some were freshmen and others sophomores. Every single one broke clays and all learned the beginnings of gun safety. Our first fall 2020 practice is on September 27th. We could have between 20-25 athletes participating. Our future looks bright.
