Dear Community Riders and Track Cycling Community,
Given the evolving landscape surrounding the potential spread and impact of the COVID-19 virus, we are in the process of evaluating all programing at the OPTCs. While there are currently no known cases at either training center, this situation is fluid and we will continue to monitor any impact on an ongoing basis.
At this point in time, we are focused on athlete safety and well-being as they train and prepare for the Tokyo and Beijing Games and we are committed to moving intentionally and thoughtfully to minimize, as best we can, the risk of exposure for our athletes, coaches, and staff.
With that being said, starting TODAY Open Training Sessions at the Velodrome will be canceled. This will include community racing events and LTV events as well.
We anticipate this will stay in effect throughout the rest of the month, but we will be reviewing this situation on an ongoing basis, and will share future updates on our Velodrome website and Velodrome page.
Please know that we want to work with you to find possible solutions as a result of this new policy. Your memberships will be frozen for as long as this policy is in effect and we encourage you to reach out to the OPTC Staff if you have any questions or concerns.
In addition, we will also be open Thursday, March 12th and Friday March 13th from 5-7 p.m. to answer questions and to allow for the retrieval of bikes and gear currently at the track.
Thank you for your support.
