We're planning to shoot this Sunday 9/6/26. We will start setup at 8:00, registration is at 8:30 and the safety briefing will be at 9:00. The weather in Fountain is forecasted to be partly cloudy with a high temperature near 90°s. Don't forget the Bottom Feeder 1911 category. Don’t forget the pot luck after the shoot. There will be a generator so crock pots can be brought for the potluck.

Scores are posted. It was a HOT one today! I don’t think we quite made it to 100 but we certainly made it into the mid-90s. Fortunately there was a bit of a breeze to keep it tolerable. We had two guest stage writers today. San Pedro Pete wrote Stages 1 & 2 and Lt Mark MacIntosh wrote 3 & 4. We made use of the Texas Star on two stages today – my favorite target. Scores are posted. I wasn't at the shoot today so no pictures. I am told the heat didn't get too bad and the smoke from the fires down south stayed at a tolerable level. Congratulations to San Pedro Pete on a clean match.

Matthew Steele AKA Mayhem Matt has passed on 6/29/26 at the age of 38. Those that have shot with us for many years will remember that my son used to shoot with the Shaketails on occasion. These pictures were taken in 2010 and 2012.

Today was a warm one! Temps hit the mid 90’s and there was no breeze most of the day. We had a bonus hostage rifle target on stage 5 that was quite challenging (see picture). I was impressed with how many shooters got the bonus and no one hit the hostage! Thanks to Dixie Doug for contributing some of the pictures today.
