🥋 Please Welcome Steve Hastings!

We are pleased to announce that Steve Hastings has joined our Southern Colorado Springs National Karate team as Executive Director.

Steve will help me lead the continued growth and development of our school, focusing on programming, membership offerings, operations, events, workshops, marketing, community outreach, and the overall experience we provide for our students and families.

Steve is not new to our school. For the past two years, he has worked closely with me behind the scenes on business and operational matters. His new role expands that involvement, bringing him more directly into the school’s leadership, programming, and day-to-day development while providing additional on-the-ground support. He will also lead selected classes, workshops for students and parents, and special events.

Steve is a 4th Degree Black Belt and longtime instructor in the National Karate system, with extensive experience teaching both karate and Krav Maga self-defense.

His martial arts journey began nearly 50 years ago, in 1978. After college, a career, raising his children, and years of coaching youth and teenagers in multiple sports, Steve returned to karate in 2015 with a renewed sense of purpose. Since returning, he has trained four to five days a week while continuing to grow as both a student and an instructor.

Steve will join us regularly at the school, working directly with our students and supporting our team.

We’re excited about the leadership, teaching experience, and energy Steve will bring to our school and community.
