We had one of those spontaneous staying up late talking nights. After the littlest one was asleep and the other two wandered into the middle of my husband and I's conversation. Starting with questions around something we were talking about, flowing into discussing life and family. Having hot cacao/chocolate together, and kids sharing about what's going on in their lives with their friends and their ever-evolving likes/dislikes and tastes/preferences and feelings/self-understanding...
It's these moments where time doesn't seem to matter and being fully present happens effortlessly. Where connection is deep and minds are wide open with possibility. When hopes and dreams and fears and thoughts hit the air and space is held for it all to come to the surface. This is where love is strengthened and trust is multiplied. Where safety is known and peace abounds. The core memories that shape a family and make us whole. I so love being their mom ❤️
