It's The Thought That Counts Viola Horne coaches clients using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, a goal-oriented helping method, to enable them to gain insight into the ways they think.

Together, we uncover unhelpful automatic negative thought patterns that keep clients stuck. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a helping modality that uses specific questions and reflective forms of listening to help clients identify and change destructive patterns of thinking that have a negative effect on behavior and emotions. It is effective and can often help in just one or two sessions. I

t's The Thought That Counts was started by Viola Horne. The ideal client will be open to change, willing to explore their thought patterns, and dedicated to learning new ways of thinking and processing experiences. Prices are purposefully low to encourage people who need help to reach out. Viola is not a licensed counselor or therapist. She holds a Certificate of Completion from The Academy of Modern Applied Psychology.

Cognitive distortions are unhelpful and usually false ways of thinking, i.e. “I just know she’s going to yell at me for being late.” (Fortune-telling) A healthier thought could be, “I’m running late. Next time, I’ll leave a bit more margin for traffic.”
