The Grand Canyon flooding is horrible. On a post about it, someone commented about everything being the Democrats fault. Apparently a flood is also a political issue for some people.
I was so close to commenting. Then I reminded myself of my rule. And that is to never post negative or argumentative comments to random people online.
I do post positive things to help other people's social media presence. But I'm not getting involved with useless conflict.
It's not worth the mental space or energy. I prefer to keep myself grounded and at least somewhat calm. Wellness is mental and physical. I have control over whether I argue with people over things.
Why bother fighting with people who post ridiculous things?
I am not a Democrat or a Republican. And I do not follow political things. On purpose.
We can control much of what we let our brains consume. Especially on social media which can be toxic and lead to absolutely no good outcomes.
Go read a book about something non-political is what I wanted to say to that person...
I CAN control how well I tend to my own mental health so I can be the best dad and husband possible.
We can choose. Get mad and irritated or walk away. Consume news media all the time or enrich our minds with other things.
What kind of mindset do you want to go about your day with?
