Please help us welcome our two newest coaches to our Widefield Coaching Staff and Wrestling Family!!!

Hannah Michael is joining us from Grandview University in Iowa.

She is a pioneer when it comes to Woman’s Wrestling in Iowa! The first female wrestler in her High School, first female to win a match at the Iowa HS Female State Tournament, and Grandview University’s first female to win a match for their program!

AJ Mota is joining us from Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis.

He is making his grand return back home. He bleeds Widefield Blue and is ready to share what he has learned with our kiddos! He worked his way up through all the different levels wrestling had to offer and is excited to give back to his Widefield Family!!!

We are so happy and blessed they choose to share their knowledge with our kiddos and we can’t wait to watch your growth as coaches!

We’re excited to be hosting this event for the 3rd year and continuing to provide quality summer wrestling opportunities for athletes across Colorado.

The growth of girls wrestling continues to impress, we had enough girls in attendance to build 9 separate brackets and provide plenty of competitive matches throughout the day!

Thank you to all the coaches, wrestlers, officials, volunteers, and families who continue to support this event and help grow the sport.

Let’s keep the action rolling!

Proud of our Widefield Girls and Team Colorado!

Our Girls Kadence and Hope are National All-Americans as their 14u National Team Finished in 3rd Place in Freestyle only losing to the eventual National Champs, Team Pennsylvania by 1 Point!

Widefield Wrestling Representing Colorado This Week!

Coach James Fernandez is in Indiana coaching Team Colorado’s 14U National Dual Team, with Widefield Club Wrestlers Kadance Rios and Hope Ellision competing in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman.

Coach Chris Hinojosa is at the CHSCA All-State Games at UNC, coaching the Girl’s All-State Team while Amaya Hinojosa represents the Gladiators on Thursday in the Girls All-State dual.

Proud to see our coaches and athletes representing Widefield on both the state and national stage!

Western was a great camp this year!

The boys and girls got put in tough pools with top schools from their respective states. The Gladiators rose to the occasion and got to work.

Boys finished 15-4 and placed 13th out of 45 Teams!

Girls finished 10-5 with only a half a line up and every girl had a winning record.

Widefield also had two All Star Dual Reps in Manny and Viv!

Summer Wrestling takes Grit to get on the mat when everyone else takes a break.

Great Job Glads!
