We rounded out our season at the USSSA 12u B National Championships in Branson, Missouri last week. Safe to say the girls had a blast!
Tuesday we kicked things off with the skills competition and pin trading. The girls had a great time meeting other girls from different teams, competing against them and cheering each other on!
Later that evening we went to Opening Ceremonies at Branson High School.
The girls busted some moves at the dance party and then enjoyed getting announced as a team during the parade of teams!
We started play on Wednesday, facing adversity the first day with 2-3 rain/lightening delays. Safe to say the girls had fun having another dance party and making up rap songs!
We ended our season with another rainy day on Saturday morning and some tears were shed.
These girls bonded on and off field and we truly were a family by the end of May. They learned how to face adversity, pick each other up, trust each other, and to just play with passion! We made leaps and bounds of growth this year with all factors of the game: hitting, defense, pitching and catching!
