I don’t even know if I have the words to describe how this c**t makes me feel. I’m SO dang proud of him.

And no… I still haven’t personally stepped on him yet. 🤣 Jake says he’s making sure he’s perfect before Mama gets on. I’m not arguing with that plan. 😂

But watching what Gambler has accomplished and how he’s handled everything thrown at him over just the last 30 days… WOOOWEEEE. 😍

He’s ventured off property, ridden down the highway and to the creek nearby — and came home with an A+ report card. He continues to grow and build confidence every ride in the arena. He’s ridden around in nothing but a halter, helped gather horses that decided they suddenly didn’t want to be caught 🤦‍♀️😂, and has taken every new experience in stride.

The list just keeps growing.

We aren’t in a rush with this one. We’re letting him learn, gain confidence and become the kind of horse we know he can be. Watching that process happen right in front of us has been pretty damn special.

Proud doesn’t even begin to cover it. I just LOVE this horse. 🥹🩵

Fresh alfalfa + fresh, cool water = happy horses. 🌱💦🐴

With these Texas temps pushing over 100°, keeping fresh, cool water available is one of our top priorities around here! Troughs get dumped, cleaned and refilled regularly because hydration is everything in this heat. ☀️🥵

And of course… the Blayzen crew is pretty excited about their fresh free-choice alfalfa too. 🤣 Judging by the first picture, I don’t think we need to ask for their review!

The everyday stuff may not always be glamorous, but keeping horses happy, comfortable and well cared for will always come first around here. 🩵

One last trip around the pastures before calling it a night. Checking horses, checking waters, making sure everyone is where they’re supposed to be and all is quiet!

The days may start early around here, but they don’t end until every nose has been counted!

Scratches are a two-way street around here. ✅

Ryker stopped to give one of our boarders’ horses, Lou, some good scratches… and apparently Lou thought it was only fair that she return the favor!

Safe to say she found the spot and wasn’t about to let her personal scratching assistant leave anytime soon! 🤣

It’s the little moments like these that make barn life so dang good. 🩵

With these Texas temps, keeping fresh, clean water available is always a top priority… and apparently Ryker & Wylder believe in personally testing the water quality before the horses get it. 😂

Can’t say I blame them — 100°+ days call for desperate measures! ☀️

Just another day of ranch chores at Blayzen Performance Horses… where even cleaning water troughs turns into a good time. 🩵

✨It’s a good day to have a GREAT day! ✨

Morning riding sessions at Blayzen are hard to beat!

Wylder is getting more comfortable in the saddle and cruising around on Tuff, while Ryker keeps his other horses legged up. Jake is putting more miles on Gambler, who continues to do fantastic, and Ashlyn was out enjoying some saddle time on Scar!

Meanwhile, Jett took his job as arena supervisor very seriously from Mama’s arms. 🥹 And Mama even managed to sneak up in the saddle on Potter for a lap around the arena!

Different ages, different horses, different goals — just a whole lot of saddle time, happy kiddos and good horses. 🩵

Two full days and a whole lot of horses later, everybody is trimmed up, new shoes, ready to go! Around here, we keep our horses on a consistent 6-week farrier schedule, and we seriously couldn’t ask for a better farrier than Harris with High Point Farrier Services. 🩵

Reliable, patient with the horses, and always willing to work through our long list — we’re thankful to have had him taking care of our crew!

📣 ALSO — NORTH TEXAS HORSE PEOPLE!

I’ve seen quite a few posts lately from people in our area looking for a dependable farrier. Harris is willing to extend his trips up our way to other barns in the Collinsville/surrounding area if there are enough horses needing done!

Don’t have enough horses to justify a barn call? You can also haul into Blayzen Performance Horses while Harris is here and have your horse done at our facility. 🙌

🐴 THE BIG BARN — 10 STALLS access to 100 ACRES

Looking for room for your program, multiple horses, or just a great place to call home? We have a 10-stall barn coming available September 1st at our 100-acre Blayzen Performance Horses location!

✨ THE BARN:
• 10 oversized stalls — approximately 12.5’ x 14’
• Automatic waterers in stalls
• D-rings in stalls for tying while cleaning
• Small pens outside the barn available to move horses into while stalls are being cleaned
• Stall windows that latch open for airflow while remaining safely barred
• Large, wide barn alley
• 2 sets of stocks
• Plenty of storage space
• Roll-up doors on both ends of the barn + an additional side roll-up door
• Plenty of trailer/vehicle parking
• Barn bathroom coming soon — currently remodeling the barn apartments!

🌾 And did we mention 100 ACRES?!

This property gives you ROOM. Whether you’re looking for multiple stalls, space for a training program, or a private multi-horse setup, we’d love to talk about what you need.

✨ Monday morning motivation! ✨

Life moves fast, so remember to slow down long enough to enjoy every minute of it!

Raising my babies around horses and watching them develop the same love for it that I grew up with is absolutely priceless to me. 🥹

There was a time when being in the saddle and working horses was such a huge part of who I was. Life got busy, babies came along, and priorities changed… but lately, getting back in the arena, working horses every day, and doing it all with my boys right beside me has been so good for my soul.

Watching them learn, gain confidence, get dirty, work hard, and fall in love with this life makes every long day worth it!

These are the days I know I’m going to miss someday. So for now, I’m soaking up every moment in the arena, every ride, and every minute with my boys. 🩵

Life is good. God is good. And my heart is full! 🫶🏼
