Laurelin Farm

Laurelin Farm Laurelin Farm is a place to learn and explore the wonders and joys of horseback riding and horsemanship.

Balanced Seat Riding lessons are taught by Caroline North. The Laurelin Farm goal is to provide riders of all ages and disciplines a stress free, dynamic environment for horses and humans to learn harmony and balance with one another. It is our belief that the best horsemanship comes from learning to be true and balanced in ones self; physically, mentally and spiritually.

Did you know that at Laurelin Farm we offer partial leases on some of the horses? Meet Bee, a wonderful older Tennessee Walking mare who loves walking out on trail and puttering around the ring doing flat work. She has very smooth gaits and loves an invitation to move out her stride. She loves her mane brushed and bonding with her people...

Congratulations to this winter's past Horse Scouts! They finished the program last weekend with a skillathon contest!
Gold Medal winners were Paisley, Rylee, Shiloh and Sadie!
Silver Medal winner was Siorese.
Bronze medal winner was Merida!

Good work girls, despite the brutal winter, you guys did the work and learned a lot of cool stuff. Favorites were giving horses medicine, making treats, and pretending to be horses to feel the bridle work!

Thank you to the Laurelin Farm crew that came to help with Spring Cleaning! Despite the cold, we got the inside of the barn all spruced up and cobwebbed, some fence repaired, and blankets sorted! Many hands make light work, what would have taken me a week took a few hours with your willing energy and shining faces. Namaste!

Finally recovered from the long, wonderful weekend of Equifest! We met lots of new folks and got to catch up with old friends after a long winter. Our demos went great and Glory made me look pretty awesome. Because he is awesome of course. He even timed the lecture to the minute and at the end of 30 minutes walked over to the lead rope and put his nose on it...'Like okay stop talking now we are done!'
