Four days of tournaments in the first eight days of June, and every group was treated to picture-perfect weather. Things are finally starting to come around, and business is picking up.
We hosted two new Monday groups this week, the Eden Raiders and the 2nd Annual Dave Hilburger Memorial Tournament. I was especially glad we had an opening to bring the Hilburger event to Dave’s home course.
We also held our first major men’s tournament of the season. The competition was tight, and congratulations go out to our 2026 Men’s Member-Member Champions, Rick Fuller and Dave Root.
Dave is having quite a week. Not only did he celebrate his birthday, but he also recorded a hole-in-one on #13 on Thursday and followed it up by capturing a major tournament title. I’d say he’s off to a pretty good start and is set up for a great season ahead.
This week also marked the opening of our new short-game practice facility and the newly constructed first tee box. Rick, Joe, Daren, and the entire grounds crew have done an outstanding job with all of the improvements we’ve made over the past two seasons, especially considering the challenging spring weather we endured.
Thankfully, it’s time to turn the page on spring and look ahead to the next chapter. Summer golf is officially underway, and after a great first week, we’re excited to see what the next 100 pages have in store.
