Join us this Saturday! The high plank–low plank–up dog–down dog sequence is the engine of vinyasa — usually repeated more than any other movement in the practice, yet often rushed through on autopilot between the poses we actually pay attention to. This workshop, led by , slows that engine down.

We’ll deconstruct each transition on its own terms: the shoulder mechanics of a controlled chaturanga, the spinal extension of up dog versus the passive backbend it’s often mistaken for, and the full-body integration that makes down dog a rest pose instead of a shoulder-strain. Along the way, we’ll look at why this sequence sits at the center of vinyasa krama — the logic of linking breath to movement — and what it means to build strength and steadiness (sthira) without losing ease (sukha) inside a moving pattern.

Expect slow, broken-down reps; hands-on and verbal cueing for each phase of the transition; and time to rebuild the full flow with more precision, less wear on the joints, and a clearer sense of why each shape leads to the next.

Suitable for students who have always wondered “what is actually supposed to be happening” in these shapes and those wanting a more thorough anatomical and philosophical understanding of their practice.

Starting tomorrow, September 3rd, is taking over the Thursday night 6:00pm Slow Flow!

As a classically trained musician, Amanda has always understood the relationship between rhythm, breath, body, and mind. Her teaching brings that same awareness to the mat, creating space to move with intention, find stillness, and reconnect with yourself.

Her intention is simple: move your body, quiet your mind, and take exactly what you need.

Join us tonight to honor the shift into late summer with an evening devoted to slowing down, grounding, and receiving.

This deeply restorative workshop weaves together yin yoga, Reiki, and Five-Element acupuncture to support the Earth element, the energetic focus of late summer associated with nourishment, steadiness, and sustainable energy.

We'll begin with a grounding yin practice before settling into an extended savasana. During this time, guest facilitator Dr. Kristen Voget, D.Ac., L.Ac. () will offer a seasonal Five-Element acupuncture treatment while .collins provides hands-on Reiki, creating a layered experience of deep rest and renewal. Together, these practices remind us that true nourishment comes not from rushing ahead, but from fully inhabiting the moment we're in.

Please wear clothing that allows easy access to your feet and lower legs below the knees (think flowy pants or shorts). Space is intentionally limited to ensure each participant receives individualized care.
