Ashlynn Hollingsworth is our fifth and final senior spotlight! She has played at Viper for 3 years and she will be graduating from homeschool. She plans to pursue a career in Esthetics & Cosmetology at the Ivy Institute.💜

“Volleyball has made me a stronger person by helping me believe in myself and not give up. It has also taught me to work together with others and trust my teammates. The part I will miss the most will be my friends. First, I want to thank Coach Sarah & Coach Wendy for making this last season the best season it could have been. Thank you for believing in me and seeing the best in me. Second, I would like to thank my mom for always being there for me, coming to every single game, driving me to every single practice and always being there for me through the good and the bad days. Thank you for being my #1 supporter. I’m thankful for my family because they have been watching me play volleyball for many years and they have always been there for me. Third, I would like to thank my boyfriend for always supporting me on and off the court and for always making me feel better after loses. Finally, I want to thank my teammates for believing in me throughout the season and being the best teammates to end my senior year with.”

Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication you have given to Viper. We are so proud of you and we can’t wait to see where your future takes you!✨

Our fourth senior is Mackenzie Beadles! This was her first year at Viper and she will be graduating from homeschool. She is planning to continue her volleyball & academic career at State University of New York - Maritime Engineering! She wants to pursue a degree in International Business and earn her Maritime Deck License so she can work as a Merchant Mariner.

“Volleyball has been a constant in my life through many personal struggles. No matter what crisis or hard times I have found myself in, playing volleyball has been a permanent fixture. Playing this sport is the greatest privilege I have ever experienced, and every moment off the court is spent waiting to step back on. You won’t get anywhere in life without perseverance. Showing up to practice despite whatever pain or turmoil you are in is a lesson I’ve had to learn. This sport pushes you past your worries and fears and has allowed me to learn that shortcuts will only hurt you. You won’t get anywhere in life without perseverance. Thank you Mackenzie for choosing to be a part of our Viper family this season. We cannot be more proud of you and all of your achievements! We are so excited to see you continue your volleyball career at the collegiate level! 🏐

As the club season begins to wrap up, we want to look back on some fun moments our teams had with each other. “Theme Day” practices was just one of the ways our coaches helped to foster positive & encouraging team dynamics! 💜

Can you guess what themes were chosen? 👀

Our third senior spotlight is Harlee Hurst! This was Harlee’s first year playing at Viper Volleyball & she will be graduating from Desoto Central High School. She plans to attend cosmetology school at Northwest Community College after she graduates.

“Volleyball has always been a place I could go when I don’t want to think about anything. It has taught me not to dwell too much on things. I love how close my teammates and I have all gotten this year. I want to thank my mom and dad for always encouraging me, and also driving me around the country every other weekend for the last 5 years.”

Thank you Harlee for joining the Viper family & trusting us during your final year of playing. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for you! 💜

Alexa Aldridge is our second senior spotlight! She has played at Viper for 3 years and will be graduating from Northpoint Christian School. She will be attending Ole Miss and plans to major in Biology, in hopes of becoming a dental hygienist. She hopes to stay involved with volleyball by coaching or playing intramural.

“I have grown so many relationships and made some of my best friends through Viper. The best part of volleyball has always been the girls I played with and my coaches. This year has been very bittersweet. I would like to thank all my Mom and Dad, for always showing up and giving me this opportunity to play. I would like to thank my Coaches, for never giving up on me and supporting and pushing me. And I would like to thank my friends, for always cheering me on and supporting me.”
