⛳ More exciting progress at The Gate!

On the golf course, the putting greens, fairways, and tees continue to grow in beautifully thanks to the incredible work of our agronomy team.

The Gater Putting Course, our signature 18-hole putting course designed by PGA legend Peter Jacobsen and Jacobsen Hardy Golf Design, is getting greener each week after being sprigged with TifEagle Bermuda grass, and lighting is now installed for future nighttime play. 🌙✨

At our practice range, The Bays, crews are preparing the range with topsoil and building the canopy over the hitting bays, including dedicated bays at the First Tee Academy for First Tee - Naples/Collier junior golfers.

We’re grateful for the continued support as this new public golf experience takes shape in Naples.

From golf to dining, events, and social spaces, this hands-on role is based in Naples, Florida and focused on engaging with the community and capturing moments across The Gate.

Our 9-hole, par 35 community golf course continues to green up, and we continue reaching milestones in the construction of the practice facilities at the future site of The Gate Golf Club.

One major milestone we've hit in the last month: all protective netting poles have now been installed on the 320-yard practice range. Thank you to the community for sharing in the excitement surrounding an accessible, high-quality public practice range.

The 48,500-square-foot putting green has also been shaped, with subsurface drainage and specialized growing medium now fully installed. Once it’s open, players will enjoy a fun and challenging 18-hole putting course, featuring regularly changing layouts designed in collaboration with PGA legend and our course architect Peter Jacobsen.

There is still work ahead, but each milestone brings us closer to opening day. We can’t wait to welcome you later this year, as we take a bold step forward for public golf and recreation in Naples. ⛳️

We’re proud to introduce the golf leadership team at The Gate Golf Club!

Mike Shafer, Superintendent, brings 30+ years of experience in high-quality course management and agronomy. Since beginning work on the course in March 2025, he has focused on establishing healthy turf, creating a beautiful golf course, and building the maintenance team as we prepare for opening.

Jeffrey Raimer, Director of Golf, is a South Florida PGA Hall of Fame member with 35+ years of experience. He is leading the development of golf operations plans, instruction and programming, with a focus on creating a fun and welcoming golf experience for the public.

New month, new milestones accomplished as we continue at ! ⛳️

From fresh landscaping to construction at Oakwood Grill Naples , progress is moving quickly. With every step, we’re mindful of sustainability—even excavated rock is being repurposed into a signature tee box feature.

We were proud to give course ambassador Gianna Clemente a tour of the course construction. Stay tuned for more with Gianna—coming soon!
