Moments like these are why I coach. Watching hard work turn into smiles, confidence, and unforgettable memories never gets old.💙

A coach’s job is to teach more than skills — it’s to guide growth, resilience, and teamwork.

Had a little party at practice! This was great for reaction time and quickness!

A good huddle isn’t about pointing out mistakes. It’s about regrouping, lifting each other up, and locking back in as one unit. Volleyball is a momentum sport, and huddles give teams the chance to reset mentally, communicate quickly, and remind each other of the game plan.

Great teams don’t just celebrate success in huddles — they problem solve, encourage, and stay connected during adversity. Body language, communication, and energy in those few seconds can completely change the tone of a match.

Talk with purpose. Listen to your teammates. Stay present. Stay united.

Championship teams are built in the small moments… and huddles are one of them.

Don’t touch the cones is a great way to get the athletes to visualize cutting the “hit” or ball off instead of waiting for it to hit the cone. Ideally you need to have the coach to try and hit the cone while the players goal is it to step forward in front of the cone instead of behind or essentially on the cone. This drill is great when training to attack the ball on defense.
