Aikido’s Hidden Gem is finally coming!

I’m incredibly excited to announce that Aikido’s Hidden Gem is now available for pre-order, with the official release coming October 1, 2026!

The book explores the remarkable aikido journey of Shizuo Imaizumi, from his years training in Japan to his experiences teaching and developing aikido in the United States.

Imaizumi was an important figure in the development of American aikido, yet his story remains relatively unknown outside the communities of people who trained with him. This book brings together his experiences, influences, relationships, and the events that shaped his journey.

And for those who prefer a physical book, Aikido’s Hidden Gem will be available in ebook, paperback, AND hardcover editions.
