⭐️ The Crimson Phoenix were ON KBTX TODAY! ⭐️

Today our Crimson Phoenix Team from Aggieland Martial Arts Academy had the incredible opportunity to appear on KBTX’s The Three and share the story of our journey to the World Championships in Phoenix, Arizona!

These athletes have spent countless hours training, sacrificing, and pushing themselves to become some of the top-ranked martial artists in the world. What makes this story even more special is that these students aren’t just teammates, they are our Founding Five! They have grown alongside Aggieland Martial Arts from day one!

We could not be more proud of Bella, Stella, Remi, Cullen, and Callan for representing College Station, Bryan, and the entire Brazos Valley with such professionalism, character, and determination!

A huge thank you to KBTX for helping share their story with our community. We are excited to continue our preparations as we head toward the World Championships this summer!

We are incredibly honored to see our athletes being recognized not only by KBTX, but now by KWTX as well!

The “Founding Five” have earned recognition for being ranked among the Top 10 in the World, but what makes this story special isn’t the rankings, it’s the journey behind them!

These young athletes have spent years showing up when no one was watching! They’ve trained through victories and setbacks, celebrated each other’s successes, picked each other up after disappointments, and learned that true greatness is built one day, one class, and one challenge at a time!

At Aggieland Martial Arts, our mission has never been just to create champions on the mat. It’s to help develop confident leaders, disciplined students, resilient competitors, and outstanding young people. These five athletes are a reflection of those values, and we couldn’t be more proud of the example they set for the younger students who look up to them every day!

This week, KBTX highlighted the amazing accomplishments of our students as they prepare to represent the Brazos Valley on one of the biggest stages in martial arts competition!🥋🏆

What makes us the proudest isn’t just the medals, championships, or titles, it’s the dedication, discipline, perseverance, and character these young athletes demonstrate every day both on and off the mat!

What a weekend!

Remi captured District Titles in both Combat and Sparring while helping the Crimson Phoenix to the Team Sparring District Championship title! 💪🏼🔥

One of the defining moments of the weekend came Friday night when the Team Sparring Championship was on the line! With the pressure at its highest, the crowd at its loudest, Remi stepped up and scored the clutch points needed to secure the title!

She also earned her THIRD Tournament of Champions qualification this season this time in combat sparring and continues to establish herself as one of the top young martial arts competitors in the world! 🌎🥋

Coach Jessy had an incredible weekend, bringing home FIVE District Titles, a Silver Medal, and a bronze medal

What a night for Aggieland Martial Arts! ❤️🖤💛

Tonight was the opening night of the South District Championships, where the top Taekwondo athletes from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana competed for South District Titles and a chance to advance to the Tournament of Champions!

Our goal heading into tonight was simple:

⭐️ Win 5 District Championships

And that’s exactly what our athletes did!

These athletes continue to prove why they are among the best martial artists in the South District! Every round was hard fought, every point mattered, and they battled their way to TWO South District Championships!

We are incredibly proud of every member of this team and can’t wait to see them represent Aggieland Martial Arts at the Tournament of Champions! 👏🔥

💥 Next came our Rookie Team

And this is where our hearts are overflowing with pride

Eleven months ago, these young men and women started this season as kids with goals and dreams

Over the past year, we’ve watched them grow into athletes

They’ve faced setbacks
They’ve experienced disappointment
They’ve lost matches
They’ve been counted out

But they never stopped working

They never stopped believing

Tonight, they fought their way to the top of the South District

The crowd was electric and our athletes fed off every second of it! Easily one of the loudest and most exciting atmospheres of the entire night! 📣🔥

⭐ Special shoutout to Lincoln Clark!

Lincoln stepped into one of the toughest matches of the evening and delivered when his team needed him most, grinding out a huge 1-0 victory!

That’s championship mentality!!💪🏼

⭐ And then there was Remi

When everything was on the line…

She delivered!

Remi landed a clutch 2-point head kick in the championship match to help secure the Rookie Team Sparring District Championship! 🥋💥

After only competing once during the regular season, he earned his opportunity to compete for a South District Championship

⭐️ 25 Years of Taekwondo & A Lifetime of Impact ⭐️

Today, Aggieland Martial Arts is celebrating a truly special milestone:

🥋 25 years ago today, Coach Josh began his Taekwondo journey

What started as a young student stepping onto the mat has grown into a lifetime dedicated to martial arts, leadership, competition, and helping others become the best version of themselves

Over the past 25 years, Coach Josh has:

🏆 Competed at the highest levels of ATA & Traditional Taekwondo

🏆 Earned multiple World Champion titles

🏆 Trained and mentored hundreds of students

🏆 Built Aggieland Martial Arts into a place where families can grow together through discipline, confidence, and respect

🏆 Dedicated countless hours to developing athletes, leaders, and future black belts

One of the most remarkable parts of his journey is that he chose to remain a 3rd Degree Black Belt longer than required so he could continue competing at an elite level and pursue his goals on the world stage. While that delayed his advancement in rank, it allowed him to chase excellence and create experiences that now benefit every student who trains under him

This fall, Coach Josh will receive his 25-Year Legacy Pin, an honor that recognizes a quarter century of dedication to Taekwondo

And the journey isn’t over

In just 10 months, he will test for his 5th Degree Black Belt, another major milestone in an already incredible martial arts career
