LEGACY RUNNER SPOTLIGHT: SHEILA COOK
When asked what she loves about the running lifestyle she replied "First of all, I love to run. I’ve been running most of my life. I actually don’t do many road races at all. Only a couple a year, and the BCS is one of them. I mostly do ultramarathons on trails. In fact, currently training for my first (and probably last) 200 mile trail race at the end of September. When I first heard about the BCS race, I had to sign up. I’m an Aggie and it was in Aggieland! Then I learned about the wonderful cause this race supports."
When asked what her favorite memory of the College Station Marathon is she replied "My favorite memory is coming into the finish line and seeing all those beautiful children this race has helped. Every time I get chills and the happy tears flow. I can’t imagine not being a part of this race. "
That is exactly what the BCS Race Series is all about. ❤️
Sheila, we are so grateful you’ve made the BCS Race Series part of your running journey—and we can’t imagine this race without YOU!
Help us celebrate Sheila and all of our amazing Legacy Runners as we count down to our 15th Anniversary! 🎉
