DJ Shockley could have transferred to another school but he stayed at UGA and when his time came, was a SEC Champion as a starter. He was also drafted by the Atlanta Falcons after being the starter for ONE YEAR (his senior year)

For some reason, everyone thinks that being a backup or competing for a position is a bad thing. Competition should bring out the best in you but some tuck their tails and run.

Read and understand, parents are starting a new chapter as well. It’s not as easy to drop you all off and leave you in an unknown place with unknown people in a sometimes unknown town. You may be a legal person (18), but becoming an adult and being “grown”‘is just starting. Don’t rush to grow up…. Being a Kid is a-whole lot easier.

The hard reality is not all players will play D1 even after putting a lot of work in. Some will have to play D2, D3, NAIA or JUCO. Take advantage of whatever level you are chosen to play on and Do Your Best!
