University of Maryland Sailing Team Like this page for updates about the University of Maryland Sailing Team! The team is a tight-knit group of people who share an interest in sailing.

The University of Maryland Sailing Team competes against some of the best sailing teams in the nation. You do not need to have experience to join, although sailing is a competitive sport that takes will and practice to learn and perfect. The team carpools to Severn Sailing Association in Annapolis several days a week to practice. This is not mandatory, but it is necessary if you wish to be a compe

titive member of the team. There are several organized social events each semester, and team members enjoy spending time together on and off the water. Dues are $80 per semester or $150 for a year. The team meets weekly on Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the level one conference room (next to the racquetball and squash courts) in Eppley Recreation Center.

Just yesterday we hosted our first regatta of the spring season, the Diamondback Women's Regatta! The ladies absolutely crushed it, placing 3rd overall over 2 classes!
