Our team enjoyed an exciting weekend of racing in Holland, Michigan, where four of our sailors competed in Hope College’s Emma B Memorial Regatta. Competing with 15 schools from across the Midwest, the team earned a 6th place finish overall, with our A fleet getting a bullet on day 2! Overall a great regatta and we look forward to finishing off the season strong.

This past weekend, we hosted our home regatta, Acton Up! After completing 6 races on Saturday, we placed 3rd and 6th overall! Thanks to all the teams who came out to compete and everyone who helped out this weekend! We had a great weekend and are already looking forward to next year!

On September 25-27, six of our sailors traveled to Chicago to compete in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta. After finishing 2nd, 3rd, and 3rd across three races, the team placed 2nd overall out of eight schools. The weekend was also a great opportunity to introduce two newer sailors to keelboat racing, and we’re proud of the effort and growth shown by everyone on our team!

Thank you to John for letting us sail on your boat, Liz and Joey for racing with us, and Anna Suslova for taking these incredible photos.

On September 19-20, four of our sailors traveled to Ann Arbor to compete in the Cary Price Memorial Regatta hosted by the University of Michigan. Despite a rainy weekend of racing, the team earned 5th place overall, with our B Fleet placing 3rd.

Last weekend, 7 of our sailors traveled to Toledo to compete in the Lake Erie Intercollegiate Offshore Regatta on a Beneteau First 35! Huge thank you to Jason Huffman and Glass Pony Sailing for an amazing weekend! In addition to racing, we enjoyed some beautiful views while transporting the boat to and from Sandusky!
