The Spoke 'n' Word: Bicycle Repair & Advice Our main goal is to create community. We do that with the gifts & talents we've been blessed with. Although we do represent specific lines of bikes (i.e.

We do that with the gifts and talents that we've been blessed with at our small bicycle shop. We maintain a full service bike shop, host group rides as well as group snowshoe hikes. We also lead spin classes through the more wintery months of the year. We enjoy bringing people together and giving them the tools and opportunities to thrive amongst us!When it comes to bicycle repair, we carry the basic day-to-day wares, as well as healthy assortment of specialty items. We look to serve the serious and leisurely rider; children and adult; roadie, mountain biker, cruiser, or freestyler; single speed or geared--we want to promote a quality biking experience in Coos county. We want people to come to us if they have questions about bike repairs, what bicycle is right for them or just to make our acquaintance. We're always willing to share our thoughts on a variety of components, frames, accessories, and about life in general!Seasonal group rides include road, mountain, and fat bike--all with a focus on 'the group' more than on 'the ride'. We also host spin classes through the winter, leisurely "family style" rides, and Women-Specific rides through the summer.

If you weren't on the inside track for this information, let me bring it to your attention:

Generally the Thursday evening road rides are noticably faster and often longer than the Monday evening rides. Tonight, both groups will be riding together to Errol, SO...everybody is welcome to join without the risk of being left behind (a key feature of the Monday group rides). 5:45 from Cascade Brook parking area.

Weather looks like we might just sneak in the Errol ride tonight. Will post again around 4pm if the route is modified to start from the shop. If nothing is posted then assume that the ride is still slated to start at 5:45 from Cascade Brook (or racing to the notch from the shop earlier if that's your thing). We know of several from the club that can't make it tonight--we hope that you aren't one of them.

Super fun group ride tonight and the weather was more than accommodating. Next Thursday, weather permitting, we ride out to Errol from Cascade Brook parking area just on the east side of Dixville Notch state park. at 5:45, or you can try making it from the shop if you leave by 5:00.

No available appointments this week remaining on Friday and Saturday looks the same. If anything opens up I'll be sure to post here to let you know.

Two points of business today:
1. Group ride tonight from the shop at 5:30. A mix of flats and hills 25+ miles. Next week we ride to Errol. Most people park at the Cascade brook parking lot on the east side of Dixville Notch, some pedal from Colebrook. Feel free to park wherever you want to--maybe the top of the Notch on a pull off rather than the bottom... Either way, we will be meeting at Cascade Brook parking area to roll from there at 5:45. Considering extending the ride SLIGHTLY by pedaling north on NH16 for 2.4 miles to the entrance to Round Pond--a nice section of road mostly along the river. On some occassions a few of us have pedaled up 26 further to the top of the next rise before chasing the group back, but trying to purposely add a new twist that all can participate in if they want to.

2. Hours at the shop for the remainder of the summer look like this, effective immediately:

+Closed Sundays
+9:00-5:00 Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
+Previously Scheduled Appointment Monday, Friday, Saturday.

You may find me there during any hours of any day, at which point I'll be happy to help, but the season remains slow enough that I can't justify hanging around when there are other things that need my attention.
