Branch County Conservation & Sportsmans Club The Branch County Conservation and Sportsman’s Club (BCCSC) was founded in 1950. The club is administered by a 10 member Board of Directors.

It is a non-profit organization dedicated to furthering youth education and protecting our hunting, fishing and outdoor natural resources. Our current membership totals approximately 250 members. BCCSC is located just south of Coldwater, Michigan at 302 Fenn Road. The club offers a heated clubhouse, two trap fields, a 200 Meter, 8 lane range and indoor archery range. The club also offers a 4-H sh

ooting sports program for the younger members. The club is a great place to get together with friends and family for fellowship and fun.

This coming Monday, October 2nd, make plans to join us for our monthly 5 Stand Competitive Event.
In the past, this event has been 75 targets (3 rounds); however, due to the decreasing daylight hours available to shoot, this month will be a 50 target (2 round) event.
We will start shooting at 5PM, don’t worry if you can’t make it that early, we will get everyone their two rounds!
Cost is $17 (bring exact dollars if possible!) with $5.00 going to the purse, which will pay out 50%, 30% and 20% to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place respectively

Come join us this Sunday at 9:00 am for pistol drills designed to improve speed and accuracy. Shooters may shoot any or all of the stages, bring at least 2 magazines and ensure a total capacity of 20 rounds. Some .22lr ammunition will be available free of charge for those having difficulty obtaining ammo.

From low ready, 3 rounds, 3 yards, 3 seconds
From low ready, 5 rounds, 5 yards, 5 seconds

Stage 2 (Best group)
From low ready, 5 shots at 7 yards, measured for best group. Will complete 2 times (10 rounds)

LCR Drill (22422)
From *draw or low ready, 3 targets at 7 yards, Random order of Left, Right, or Center. Double tap 1st target, double tap 2nd target, quad tap 3rd target, reload, double tap 2nd target, double tap 1st target. Will complete 2 times (24 rounds)

Stage 4
Triple Threat Drill Plus
From *draw or low ready, 1 target at 7 yards, random number to body, random number to head, random number to lower edge, random number of plates. Will complete 3 times (variable round count)

Stage 5* (bang, bang, bang)
From low ready, 19 targets varying yardage. Will complete 1 time (19 rounds plus misses)
*Stage 5 targets may include: Hostages, Texas star(s), plate table, mini IPSC, dueling tree and stop plate.

Monday, July 18th, 6:00 PM
5 Stand: Fast-paced sport where you shoot one single target, one report pair and one true pair from each of 5 shooting stations or stands (hence the name). Basically sporting Clays without the walking. Any shotgun capable of firing two shells will work (over/under, side by side, semi-auto, pump), any gauge. Only limitation is shot size, nothing larger than # 7 ½ shot.
Note: The course features relatively close targets, so pretty much any choke(s)- cylinder, s***t, improved cylinder, light mod, and mod will work just fine.
$6.00/round members, $7.00/ round non-members

Trap: This will be our monthly (third Thursday of each month) 100 target trap event.
You will shoot 25 pair of Doubles first,
Then 1 round of singles at 16 yards followed by 1 round of singles from 20 yards
$25.00 members, $29.00 non-members, $5.00 per shooter goes into the purse which is paid back 50%, 30% and 20% for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Even though it’s a competition, it’s still a friendly, low-key event so come out and give it a try!
We do have a limited supply of 12 gauge shot shells for sale for use at the club. See you there!

5 Stand: Tonight (Mon, June 27th) @ 6:00PM
Come out and enjoy this beautiful 70 degree weather and shoot some 5 Stand on the new course!
Trap: Thursday June 30th @ 6:00PM
Many of you expressed interest in a monthly 5 Stand Event similar to our monthly trap event.
Starting next Monday, July 4th, we will have a monthly75 target 5 Stand event on the first Monday of the month (we will start with 75 targets and see how it goes, it takes longer to shoot 5 Stand than trap so we want to make sure we don’t run out of daylight!)
Cost for the 5 Stand event is $23 for members and $26 for non-members, with $5.00 per entry going into the pot. Payoff will be 50% for 1st, 30% for 2nd and 20% for 3rd.
There was also interest in shooting more Trap Doubles. Moving forward, every second Thursday we will shoot as many rounds of singles as people want, then switch the trap over to doubles for the rest of the evening. We will then start the 100 target Trap event the next week (third Thursday of the month) with 25 pair of doubles to minimize machine changeover.
