Thank you to everyone who took part in the 49th Annual Red River Run!

Some of you sprinted. Some of you jogged. Some of you perfected the highly strategic "casual walk while pretending not to be tired" approach. Regardless of your speed, every participant helped make this year's event a tremendous success.

We appreciate your support, your enthusiasm, and your willingness to get up far earlier than most reasonable people on a summer day. The energy you brought to the event was incredible.

The best part? Next year is the big one: the 50th Annual Red River Run! That's right, fifty years of footsteps, finish lines, and community spirit. We're already looking forward to making next July's event bigger, brighter, and more memorable than ever.

Hear ye, hear ye, brave citizens, casual joggers, competitive speed-walkers, and anyone who has ever thought, “Sure, I could probably run if properly motivated by snacks.” We are now less than three full days away from the 49th Annual Red River Run, the crown jewel of Hometown Proud Days and quite possibly the most legendary test of human determination since someone first decided roads were not just for cars.

If you have not yet joined this noble quest, fear not. A spot still awaits you. Online registration may be preparing to ride dramatically into the sunset, but day-of-race registration remains available for those who prefer their life decisions with a side of suspense.

Come be part of the second longest-running road race in Minnesota—a title so impressive it deserves its own ceremonial trumpet blast. Lace up your shoes, stretch whatever needs stretching, and commit yourself to greatness, glory, and at least one story you can casually exaggerate later.

’Twas a week before race day, and all through the town,
the temps were finally dropping—not melting us down.

The medals were stacked by the finish line with care,
in hopes that more runners soon would be there.

The shirts are still coming, the countdown is near,
and somehow we’re missing one thing: you, dear.

The 49th annual Red River Run is ready to roll,
so register already—make fitness your goal.

No excuses, no hiding, no “maybe next year,”

With 19 days to go, the forecast is looking bright - sunny skies and a perfect 77 degrees on race day. Now it's time to make sure you're part of the action. If you haven't signed up yet, let's get you registered so you can gear up for an amazing experience and receive all the exclusive race swag.

Now that we are past the MSHSL State Track and Field Championships, I am fully engaged in the Red River Run. This year kicks off our 49th year!. In order to make this another great event with all the bells and whistles, we are in need of a few more sponsors/ donors to help off set the cost. Just like Santa, the elves at the Red River Run are working hard already for the 2026 race.
