Monthly Yoga Nidra with Dani

Wednesday, September 9th, 2026
6:00 - 7:00 PM
$23

Led By Dani Locastro

If you find it hard to switch off, this class is for you!

We all need more rest - achieving this however, can be very challenging, especially if you find it hard to relax, fall asleep, or stay asleep. This Yoga for Deep Rest class aims to support your body in fully relaxing, allowing the mind and body to soften and the nervous system to settle.

This class is about letting go of physical and mental stress, and encouraging your sympathetic nervous system (fight, flight, freeze) to dial down and your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) to dial up - promoting balance and helping you to reset.

You will be guided into supportive asanas to relax the body, and then guided through a Yoga Nidra mediation, a special place of sleepless sleep where you listen to your internal pulse of just being, enhanced with essential oils.

5RHYTHMS Hudson Valley

Saturday, September 12th and 26th, 2026
5:00 - 6:30PM
$23

Second Saturday and last Saturday Every Month from 5pm - 6:30pm

5Rhythms is a dance practice created by the dancer/musician Gabrielle Roth in which participants gather in a supportive community, dancing instinctively to music, guided by a certified teacher/DJ. It is a combination between group meditation and dancing with the ecstatic abandon of someone who is absolutely certain they are all alone, but instead are in a supportive community. Wherever the 5Rhythms are practiced, a community is born to dance, to sweat, to change, to support, and to provide a brave space for each of us to shatter the ego’s hold and awaken the juicy, unpredictable, fascinating, edge-walking, rock star part of ourselves that yearns to be free.

The 5Rhythms are: Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness. Classes last two hours. They begin slow, the pace pick ups in the middle and end with a slow unwinding.

Wear clothes you can move in, dance barefoot or with indoor sneakers, bring a water bottle and your open heart. This is a drug and alcohol free practice.

Under the Sturgeon Moon, on a river older than memory. ✨

August’s full moon carries an ancient name gifted by the Algonquin peoples of this region for the sturgeon that rise into shallow, moonlit waters at the tail end of summer. And here in the Hudson, that isn’t just folklore. It’s still true.

In our precious Hudson swims a creature that predates the dinosaurs. The sturgeon has been quietly adapting for 120 million years. Armored in bony plates instead of scales, growing up to 14 feet, living 60+ years. Once so plentiful in the Hudson they were called “Albany beef.” Nearly lost to overfishing and still endangered today, but still here. Still spawning in this river. Still teaching us that resilience is a long, patient art.

That’s the medicine of this moon: adaptation as a superpower. The quiet strength of staying, softening, evolving and of trusting that what has always been will keep finding its way through.

As the light shifts and late-summer overwhelm begins its handoff to the harvest, may you move like the sturgeon - steady, ancient, unhurried. Feed what’s returning. Let go of what’s not yours to carry into Fall.

We floated. We breathed. We looked up. We gave thanks to all who came before to protect this beautiful place we call home coldspringnewyork. And the river held us, like it has held its oldest inhabitants for a hundred million years and counting.
Ease into the season, friends. 🌕

“Dance may be one of humanity’s oldest ways of altering consciousness without needing words…We still seek moments in which the ordinary boundaries of the self become less rigid. The contexts have changed, but the attraction remains: for a few
minutes, perhaps, to experience what it feels like not to be entirely contained within ourselves.

What are we looking for when we disappear into rhythm?” Julia Sahasra

Full Moon Float: Sturgeon Moon

Friday, August 28
7:30–9:00 PM
Foundry Dock Park, Cold Spring, NY
$80 Per Person

A Sturgeon Moon Paddle Meditation on the Hudson, Led by Melia Marzollo

As August exhales its last golden breath, the Sturgeon Moon rises, ancient, luminous, and impossibly full, over the Hudson Highlands.
Join Melia Marzollo, for an evening unlike any other: a full moon float meditation by paddleboard, launching from Foundry Dock Park just as the sun dips behind Storm King Mountain.

We’ll begin with a mellow paddle out across still water, the mountains standing sentinel on either side, the river holding centuries of stories beneath its surface. No experience needed. This class is beginner friendly, and we’ll keep the pace easy and unhurried.

Then we anchor, boards drifting gently, side by side, and let the moon do the rest. She’ll crest Storm King Mountain right as we settle into stillness: gentle movement on the water, intention setting under an open sky, guided meditation, and a floating savasana with the current rocking you like a cradle.

Named for the great sturgeon who once rose from these waters this time of year, this moon carries an old kind of magic: resilience, patience, the wisdom of things that move slowly and endure. She asks us to look inward, to release what no longer serves us, and to trust what is quietly rising within.

This particular Sturgeon Moon carries something rarer still. Later that same night, long after we’ve paddled home, she will slip into Earth’s shadow for a deep partial lunar eclipse, nearly total, glowing copper and gold. We won’t see it from the water together, but there’s something quietly powerful in knowing the moon we float beneath is about to undergo her own transformation once the river has gone dark and quiet again.

Each paddler will receive a crystal to hold as we float, a small stone to charge beneath the moonbeams, carried home as a keepsake of the night the river, the mountains, and the moon aligned just for us.

Come paddle into the light. Come float in stillness. Come meet the Sturgeon Moon where she rises, over water, under stars, surrounded by Storm King Mountain and the Hudson Highlands.

The Details
• Date & time: Friday, August 28, 7:30–9:00 PM
• Launch & landing: Foundry Dock Park, Cold Spring, NY
• Investment: $80 per person

• Included: Paddleboard, personal flotation device, paddle, and a crystal to charge under the moon

• Experience level: All levels welcome, including first time paddlers

• Flow of the evening: Mellow paddle out, then anchor for gentle movement, intention setting, guided meditation, and floating savasana

Moon Note: moonrise is expected around 7:47 PM, with sunset around 7:35 PM, so as we launch, the sky will already be shifting into dusk, and the moon should appear over Storm King Mountain not long after we anchor. Later that night, this same moon will pass through a rare, deep partial lunar eclipse, one of the most dramatic lunar events of the year, though it occurs well after our class has ended.
