That’s a wrap on another awesome season of 8U Flames softball! 🙌🏼

In just our second year offering 8U, we had more than 50 girls hit the field this summer, learning the game, building confidence, making friends and having a whole lot of fun along the way!

A HUGE thank you to all of the coaches and volunteers who gave their time and energy to make this season run so smoothly. Programs like this simply don’t happen without people willing to step up, and we are so grateful for every one of you.

And of course, thank you to all of our Flames families for another great summer!

A pretty cool weekend for a couple of ROCORI Flames!

Congratulations to Rae Coil and Ainsley Rademacher, who represented the Flames at MN Selects 2026 this past weekend!

More than 1,200 players were nominated from across Minnesota, with 99 teams made up of athletes from 10U–18U. Rae and Ainsley each had the opportunity to join a team of players they had never played with before, meet new teammates and compete alongside some great softball players from across the state.

🔥🥎 ROCORI FLAMES TAKE ON NATIONALS! 🥎🔥

This weekend, our ROCORI Flames 14U team traveled to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to compete in the Northern National Tournament!

The girls took the field against teams from Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota, and while most of those teams may not have known where ROCORI was (or how to pronounce it 😉), our girls made sure they knew the name by the end of the weekend.

The Flames finished 7th at Nationals! 🔥

It was also a weekend full of firsts for this team:

🥎 First National Tournament
🥎 First out-of-state tournament
🥎 First time competing against teams from outside Minnesota

We are incredibly proud of the way this team represented the ROCORI Flames all weekend long. They competed hard, represented our program well and made memories together that will last far beyond the final out.

Congratulations to our 14U girls, coaches and families on an incredible weekend and an amazing accomplishment!

10U: 6:00–7:00 p.m.
12U & Up: 7:00–8:00 p.m.

📍 Location: Varsity Field & Batting Cages

A few reminders:
💧 Bring plenty of water — it’s going to be a warm evening!
🚫Softball pants are NOT required for prep night. We won’t be sliding.

This is a great opportunity for players to get comfortable with the evaluation process, ask questions, and build confidence before evaluation day.

If your player is planning to play ROCORI Flames Softball for the 2027 season, this is your reminder!

🥎 Player Evaluations
📅 Saturday, August 8

These evaluations are the only scheduled evaluations used to determine team placement for the 2027 season, so please make every effort to attend if your player plans to play softball next year.

Not sure if your player should attend? We've attached the 2027 Age Chart to help determine the correct age level.

📧 If you haven't registered yet, please check your email for the evaluation registration link. If you need the link resent, send us a Facebook message or email the Board and we'll be happy to help.

Want to help your player feel more prepared? Join us for our optional Evaluation Prep Night this Wednesday, July 29 at the ROCORI Varsity Field and batting cages.

🚨 We need just 8 more volunteers this weekend! 🚨

Our American Legion stand is the ROCORI Flames' biggest fundraiser of the year, and we're looking for just 8 more girls, parents, or siblings to help during the Friday and Saturday evening shifts.

Wondering what you'd actually be doing?

🍔 Taking orders
🌭 Delivering food

No grilling required!

It's a fun shift, you'll meet other Flames families, and volunteers receive free food and drinks while they're there.

If your family isn't already volunteering for the Flames this season, we'd especially encourage you to pitch in. Every volunteer helps make this fundraiser a success and supports our players and program.
