Our fifth senior spotlight is… Owen Davis👨‍🌾

Owen has been on the team for all four years of college, and has been the treasurer for the past three. He majored in computer science and minored in mathematics. His future plans include Oly lifting and not being unemployed. His favorite memories come from annoying all the friends he’s met along the way. He hopes everyone on the team will keep working hard and lifting weights 🏋️

Our next senior spotlight is…Sophie Killam🤘

Sophie has been on the team for 3 years! They majored in neuroscience and minored in linguistics and communication sciences and disorders. Their future plans include going to UMASS Amherst to get their doctorate of audiology. Sophie’s favorite memory from their time on the team was this year’s Halloween party. Our third senior spotlight is… Shannon Douglas.

Shannon has been on the team for 3 years and served as our secretary for this past semester. She majored in business administration and minored in computer science. Her future plans include starting a full time job in data analytics this june (and keep lifting!). Her favorite memory from her time on the team is when she qualified for nationals at GMBT, surrounded by “my awesome team and coaches”!! Congrats on graduating Shannon!!🎓

Our next senior spotlight is…Arryn!

Arryn has been on the team for 4 years and served as a co-social chair during Fall 2024. He graduated with a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology. His future plans are to do field work with wildlife. Arryn hopes to do this work internationally, possibly in New Zealand and Brazil! His favorite memory from his time on the team was this year’s paper plate awards. He feels that they were a really great culmination and representation of the sense of community that the team brings. Congrats Arryn!🥳

We wanted to highlight our 6 amazing seniors who graduated this past weekend. Up first is…Erin Troiano!

Erin has been on the team for 3 years and has also been our merch and fundraising chair. Erin majored in Geography and Health & Society. Her future plans are to continue lifting and pursue health geography research. Erin’s favorite memory was her first PR’s for puppies competition. Congrats on graduating Erin, we are so proud of you!🎉

As the semester has officially come to an end, we wanted to thank our coaches Nic, Kate, Dave, and Gavin. We wanted to send a special shoutout to Coach Dave who is moving to Massachusetts after almost 3 years with the team. Thank you for everything you have done to grow and support the athletes on this team! We wish Dave all the best on his future ventures.

Gavin made a top sn**ch of 104kg/228.8lbs and a top clean and jerk of 135kg/297lbs. (meet pr total🚨)

Erin’s top sn**ch was 53kg/116.6lbs and top clean and jerk was 66kg/145.2lbs.

Owen made a top sn**ch of 108kg/237.6lbs and a top clean and jerk of 125kg/275lbs.

Petr’s top sn**ch was 100kg/220lbs (pr 🚨) and his top clean and jerk was 140kg/308lbs (clean pr 🚨) (New England junior record🚨).
