Throwback to our very first tournament.
Small field, old bunkers, good friends. We have seen players come and go but I’ve loved every minute of it! Looking forward to the future of SSPL!

SSPL has been running 3 man tournaments for 4 years. This season I decided to cancel due to low numbers and the field having storm damage and needing a lot of repairs since it’s out in the open. Partnering with Colchester Paintball Inc has been one of the greatest times of my life.

This spring we decided to re design our tournament field where it is more protected and closer to the paint shack, bathroom, and air compressor. Today we FINALLY had turf delivered to keep our Airball field set up for the whole season!! This is huge and together we are putting Vermont Paintball at a level it has never seen! Thank you Scott for all of your help and I can’t wait until we get this full-size x bal field up and running!!

For the first time in four years since I have started this league, I’m making the decision to cancel our first event of the year. Which is this coming Sunday, May 18 due to lack of teams signing up.

It’s incredibly frustrating to put time and effort into making the only Vermont tournament series happen and to have one team registered just a handful of days before the event. There are two more three man tournaments on the schedule for the season and I am hoping to do another 1v1 tournament this season as well. 

Please take this seriously and understand that without players and team signing up Vermont tournament paintball could very well end again. I know that’s not what we all want because it is so much fun to play, but financially, it cannot stay alive if there are no players.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and please come out to Colchester Paintball and have a great time, even though there is no tournament.

You’ll never know until you try!
We need paintballers in VT! We have an amazing group of regular players and VT Shell Shock team who are kind and helpful to anyone wishing to learn the game.
And for the first time we will be holding tryouts this coming season for the Shell Shock travel team. Also we are still trying to build a youth travel team for 2025 so bring the kids out to play!
