Below are the evaluation dates for the 2026 Spring Season. All evaluations will be held at the Nordic Center at the Champlain Valley Expo:

Evaluation Schedule
U8 Girls (2019&2018 birth years): January 24, 7:00–8:00 AM
U8 Boys (2019&2018 birth years): January 24, 8:00–9:00 AM
U10 Boys (2017&2016 birth years): January 31, 7:00–8:00 AM
U10 Girls (2017&2016 birth years): January 31, 8:00–9:00 AM
U12 Girls (2015 &2014 birth years): January 31, 8:00–9:00 AM
U12 Boys (2015 &2014 birth years): February 14, 8:00–9:00 AM

Season Overview
Games begin: ~May 1

Practices begin: Late April (once Airport Park opens)

League games: 6–7 per team

Extras: Coaches may schedule friendly games or enter local tournaments

Season wraps up: June 6 & 7 at the Vermont Soccer Festival (age groups will play on one of those days, not both).

Player Fee ($160) Includes :

Uniform (if not already received during the fall season, $30 discount if no uniform needed)

Soccer ball (if not already received in the fall)

Coaches & Volunteers Needed!

CYSC thrives because of community support, and we are always looking for new coaches and volunteers to help create the best experience for our players. We are especially in need of a VSL Coordinator, Treasurer and a Referee Coordinator.

The Lady Lakers have made it to the Division I Championship and there is no greater pride than LAKER PRIDE! 💙

We’d love for you to join us in sending off the girls this Saturday at 2:45 PM at Colchester High School. Your support is crucial in helping us line Laker Lane and cheer them on as they head to the big game!

Don’t forget to wear your CHS Laker, CYSC, or CMS apparel, and bring signs for your favorite players! The team entourage will roll out around 3:15 PM — then let’s follow them to the game at UVM's Virtue Field and keep the energy going! All are welcome! We'd love to see you at the send-off, the game, or both!

The Boy’s Varsity soccer team is hosting CYSC players (both Rec and VSL) at their last home game at 6pm at Colchester High School.

Players should arrive at 5:30pm and meet at the entrance to the walkway to the field. (You'll see us, don't worry!)

CYSC players will get to walk out with the Boy’s Varsity and participate in halftime games (wear your shin guards and cleats).
Plus, we’ll have shirt giveaways!

Wear your CYSC jersey or any combination of green and blue and be ready to cheer!

See you on the fields!

Just a friendly reminder that Picture Day is this Saturday, September 27, 2024 at Airport Park!

📸 Picture Day Details:

Please arrive 30–45 minutes prior to your game time for individual and team photos.

Don’t forget to bring your picture envelope with you. If you don’t have one, extras will be available on Saturday.

It looks like it will be a fantastic day for soccer — we can’t wait to see everyone smiling in their uniforms!

We’re excited to kick off the Fall Rec Soccer season with our Season Kickoff Jamboree on Saturday, September 6th at Airport Park! This is a great way for players, coaches, and families to get started together.

📅 Jamboree Schedule – Saturday, September 6th

Kindergarten Academy – 9:30–10:30 AM

Grade 1 – 11:00 AM–12:00 PM

Grade 2 – 12:30–1:30 PM

Grade 3/4 Boys – 9:30–10:30 AM

Grade 3/4 Girls – 12:30–1:30 PM

Grades 5–8 – 2:00–3:00 PM

👉 The Jamboree runs from 9:30 AM–3:00 PM.
👉 Please arrive 15–20 minutes before your child’s start time.

👉 Please have players wear cleats or sturdy sneakers with shin guards.

👉 Final Rosters will be completed and posted Sunday night on the website.

👉 Practices start Monday, September 8th.

What to Expect:

Upon arrival, families will check in at the tent.

Players will receive their team number and report to their team table, where coaches will greet them.

We’ll gather briefly to welcome everyone before heading to the fields.

Kindergarten Academy will have a practice session followed by short games.

Grades 1–8 will each play three 15–20 minute games so coaches can see a variety of players.

We will have a gear swap table, bring any gear that no longer fits and look for some that does! Cleats, shin guards, etc.

After the Jamboree, coaches will meet to review and make roster adjustments (if needed) to ensure teams are balanced. Final rosters and family contact information will then be shared with coaches.

📅 Regular Season Schedule:

Games will begin the following weekend, Saturday, September 13, and continue each Saturday through October 18.

We can’t wait to see everyone at the fields and look forward to a fun and exciting season of soccer! We are still in need of coaches! Please let us know if you are interested and available!

CYSC Soccer Family Village: We Need YOU!

Hey CYSC Crew,
Fall soccer is right around the corner… but before the first whistle blows, we need our soccer village to help get the fields game-ready!

🗓 Date: Saturday, August 16
⏰ Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
📍 Where: Airport Park

Come roll up your sleeves (and maybe get a little grass paint on them) as we:

Pull tape measures & string lines like pros

Try your hand at running the field striper

Set up goals & the shed

Be our speedy “runner” for supplies

And more!

Whether you’re a measuring master, a goal-setting guru, or just a willing helper—many hands make light work (and more fun!).

⚽ Why it matters: Fall soccer can’t happen without lined fields and set goals. This is our time to pitch in and make sure our players have the best start to the season.
