Center/Clippers Bowling League Welcome to the Facebook home of the Center/Clippers League! Founded in the 1950s at Ethan Allen Lan Currently, we have an eight (or more)-team waiting list.

We are a 30-team (going to 34 for the 2016-2017 season) bowling league with our home at Spare Time Lanes in Colchester VT.

Just a reminder, the league organizational meeting is this Thursday, August 26th at 6 PM at Spare Time Colchester & City Sports Grille. We have space for full teams. If you are a single bowler, please come to the meeting, there could be some teams looking for bowlers.

Hey everyone! Call-arounds have been completed and we have a few vacant team spots, but we also have a few teams needing bowlers. I'll be following up during the week with the team captains that I left messages with. HEY BOWLERS! Hope you are well! Center/Clippers will be back for the upcoming 2021-2022 season! All 36 teams are eligible to return to the league as previously stated! **Call arounds will start this coming weekend!** The league meeting is most likely going to be held on August 26th at Spare Time, and the first evening of bowling will be September 2nd. (With a 35 week league, last night of bowling would be May 5th).

**LEAGUE SCHEDULE SUSPENDED FOR 2020-21 SEASON**
[I added this 8/24 due to seeing a post saying that C/C folded >:( ]

Thanks to everyone for coming out to the meeting tonight and participating. The decision that was made by the league was to suspend our schedule for the season. The remaining team captains who weren't at the meeting will be called tomorrow (8/20) As specified, all teams from last season are eligible next season. Hopefully, Center/Clippers will be able to be certified with USBC (for this season!). And good luck to you all bowling in the fill-in league! Send me good scores when you get them!

[NOTE SKIP HAS CALLED EVERY TEAM CAPTAIN, BUT HAS NOT HEARD FROM TWO TEAMS AS OF 8/17 6PM]

LEAGUE MEETING IS *WEDNESDAY* AUGUST 19TH, 6PM AT SPARE TIME FOR LEAGUE OFFICERS/TEAM REPS. PLEASE BRING YOUR FACIAL PROTECTION!

We will be discussing and voting on our league options for the 2020-2021 season.

IMPORTANT INFO:

ALL 36 TEAMS FROM THE 2019-20 SEASON ARE ELIGIBLE TO BOWL IN THE LEAGUE THRU THE 2021-22 SEASON (except one team has informed us they were not returning)

SPARE TIME IS AT MAXIMUM 50% of LANE CAPACITY RIGHT NOW AND TOM (MGR) FEELS THIS WILL LIMIT WILL BE IN PLACE FOR THE SOME TIME BEING.

WE HAVE THREE BASIC OPTIONS FOR THE LEAGUE THIS SEASON:

a) BOWL TWO SHIFTS ON THURSDAY (EARLY/LATE)
b) BOWL ONE SHIFT ON EACH OF THURS. AND FRI.
c) SUSPEND THE LEAGUE FOR THIS SEASON.

THE LEAGUE WILL NOT FORCE ANY TEAM TO BOWL AT A TIME OTHER THAN THURSDAY AT 6PM.

SPARE TIME MANAGEMENT (TOM) HAS TOLD SKIP THAT IF THE LEAGUE VOTES TO NOT BOWL THIS SEASON, THAT THE LEAGUE WILL HAVE OUR USUAL TIME SLOT AGAIN FOR 2021-22. NOTE THAT SKIP WOULD STILL FILE LEAGUE CERTIFICATION WITH THE USBC FOR THIS SEASON.

ALSO, IF THE LEAGUE CHOOSES NOT TO BOWL, SPARE TIME WILL HAVE A FILL-IN LEAGUE THURSDAY NIGHTS, SO THERE WILL BE LEAGUE BOWLING AVAILABLE.

ATTENTION TEAM REPRESENTATIVES: THERE WILL BE A TEAM REP MEETING AT SPARE TIME **WEDNESDAY** AUGUST 19TH AT 6PM. SKIP WILL BE CALLING AROUND WITH DETAILS TO ALL CAPTAINS, AND IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO HAVE A REP THERE.

THERE WILL BE MORE INFO COMING THAT WILL BE CONVEYED TO THE CAPTAINS AND POSTED HERE. CALLS WILL START TOMORROW IN THE AFTERNOON/EARLY EVENING.

UPDATE: The league meeting is now planned for around August 20th, calls will be made in the upcoming week. Still waiting on info, we should have that tomorrow. Thanks for your patience. Another update will be posted Tuesday. Also, what are your thoughts on a video conference or stream for a "preliminary" meeting/overview?

Hey bowlers, welcome to the new bowling calendar year. Right now, I am waiting on Spare Time for some information before we schedule our league organizational meeting, but, we are figuring for August 13th at 6PM. Please be aware that there may not be enough capacity at Spare Time to host the whole league in its current 36-team form. Team representatives will be notified during the up-coming week in regards to the meeting.

Thanks to all for bowling this season, too bad the corona won. Every team is automatically assumed to be returning for the next season, whenever that may be. If you haven't received your prize envelope, please consult with your team captain. If anyone has any questions about the prize fund methodology, each team was given a copy, start with your team representative.
