Colby Swim Club

Colby Swim Club A passionate staff has taken this team to new heights, or in our case, new depths.

The Mission of Colby Swim Club aims to develop our swimmers to be technically, physically and mentally prepared to achieve all their goals in and out of the water, while instilling a life long love of swimming. The Colby Swim Team competes in the Northwest Kansas Swim League along with other cities such as Goodland, Oakley, Flagler, Burlington, Wray, Holyoke and Oberlin each summer.

No practice tonight due to inclement weather

Unfortunately the lightening has not cleared so we will be cancel all practices this morning! We will try to practice tonight weather pending!

Due to lightening no 8am swim group practice. We will see what 9am holds if the weather is clear the 8am kids can come at that time and get a workout in with the 9am group. Plan for 9:45 kiddos like normal.

Swimmers may NOT dive into pool for warm-ups

Warmups afternoon session begin immediately after morning session is done.
👉Morning session is expected to be done by 10:30 so afternoon session would start at 11:30. Have kids there by no later than 11:00am please so they will be ready for warm-ups.

Lightening is within 30 miles so NO PRACTICES TONIGHT

As of 5:15 we will plan to have practice at 6 for younger kids and 7 for older kids. If we have lightening within a 30 mile radius and 30 minute window before practice I will have to cancel. It looks to be moving out of the area but I’ll post again in 20 minutes and let you know.

👉Change up for practice tomorrow night (Memorial Day) first group beginners will go at 7pm-8pm and our more advanced come from 8pm-9pm. I’m sorry to change it up by I won’t be back to town by 6pm.

Swim Practice schedule
Monday-Fridays
8a-9a our older more experienced swimmers
9a-9:45a middle group kids
9:45a-10:30a beginners but can make it across

Monday & Wednesday skills/technique practice
6-7pm beginners to middle group
7-8pm older group of kids

We will start practice Memorial Day EVENING ONLY then straight to regular schedule starting Tuesday May 26th. I will try to get the list of kids divided out before then and posted.

If you have a beginner you are not sure about bring them Monday and Wednesday evening and we will make sure they can get across. Let’s swim 🏊 Eagle Rays!
