Your Body Is Listening.

We’ve been talking a LOT about lowering inflammation and supporting your gut—and yes, what you put on your plate matters.

But there’s another piece I don’t want you to overlook:

**Your mind. Your nervous system. Your breath.**

Because your body is listening to what’s happening upstairs.

When you’re constantly worried… replaying the problem… trying to control everything… living in “what if?” mode… your body doesn’t necessarily know that you’re just having a stressful day.

It responds.

And this is where breath work becomes SO powerful.

One of the simplest things we can do is intentionally slow our breathing—especially our **exhale**.

We can use our breath to help shift the body out of **fight-or-flight** and into **rest, digest & repair.**

And if we’re talking about gut health and inflammation, we HAVE to talk about this.

Because sometimes we’re so focused on finding the perfect food, supplement, workout or protocol…

when what our body really needs is for us to **STOP. BREATHE. AND GET OUT OF OUR OWN WAY.**

😂

I’m not saying you can breathe your way out of every problem. Life is LIFE.

But I am saying that constantly living in stress, fear, worry and control is not the environment your body needs for optimal digestion, recovery and repair.

So today, I want you to practice something ridiculously simple:

**Inhale.
Slow down.
Exhale longer.
Drop your shoulders.
Unclench your jaw.
And remind your body: “We’re okay.”**

You don’t always need to DO more.

Sometimes you need to **BE more.**

Be present.
Be still.
Be at peace.

Your body is listening.

Let’s give it something better to hear. ❤️

Watch the video and let’s talk about how your breath can become one more tool in your Whole ConFITence toolbox.

🔥 **LET’S KEEP TALKING GUT HEALTH + LOWERING INFLAMMATION**

We’ve been talking about *stopping throwing gas on the fire.*

If your gut is irritated, inflamed, or simply not functioning the way you want it to, one of the first places I want you to look is at what you’re putting in your body **first thing in the morning.**

And listen… I’m the LAST person to judge your morning routine. 😂

For a lot of us, that first cup of coffee is sacred. I get it. ☕️

So instead of telling you to completely change everything overnight, let’s talk about some options that can help you **support your system while you’re working on healing.**

✨ **WARM LEMON WATER**

Starting your morning with warm water and fresh lemon can help gently hydrate you after a night of sleep and support the digestive process. Lemon also provides vitamin C and compounds that support normal liver function. Think of it as a gentle way to *wake up your digestive system* before throwing food and caffeine at it.

✨ **WARM BONE BROTH**

A warm cup of quality bone broth can be a nourishing way to start the day. It provides protein and amino acids like glycine and proline, along with minerals, and can be an easy option when you want something warm and savory instead of sweet.

✨ **FRESH CELERY JUICE**

Celery juice is another hydrating option that provides potassium and other plant compounds. It can be a simple way to get fluids and micronutrients in first thing.

✨ **OR… MY FAVORITE: COFFEE ☕️**

Because yes… **I still drink coffee.** 😂

Here’s one of my favorite **gut-happy iced coffees:**

🥛 **Chocolate H**p Seed Milk**
• 2 TBSP h**p seeds
• 2 TBSP cacao
• 2 TBSP agave (you can also use Maple Syrup)
• Dash of sea salt
• 1 cup water

Blend until creamy.

Then brew your favorite coffee. I like **Seek, Purity, or Lunova** and use a pour-over method.

Pour your coffee over ice, then pour that chocolate h**p seed milk over the top.

✨ Creamy
✨ Chocolatey
✨ Satisfying
✨ And a whole lot more nourishing than grabbing a heavily processed creamer loaded with ingredients (or dairy which can inflame the gut for some,) your body may not love.

And THAT is really the goal.

**Not perfection. Not deprivation. Not throwing away everything you enjoy.**

It’s learning how to make choices that **stop adding fuel to the fire** while giving your body the nutrients and environment it needs to do what it was designed to do.

We’re going to keep building on this conversation because gut health isn’t about one magic food or one perfect morning routine.

It’s about what you do **consistently.** 🤍

If you’re ready to start changing the way you eat but feel overwhelmed by *what to eat instead*, that’s exactly why I created my **ConFITent Gut Healing Course.** We go much deeper into the process, recipes, substitutions, and how to actually make these changes manageable in real life.

**You don’t have to change everything today.
Just stop throwing gas on the fire. 🔥**

We’ve been talking about GUT HEALTH all week… so let’s talk about what this actually looks like on your plate. 👇🏼

Last week I shared the **5 foods I recommend removing for a prolonged period of time** if your goal is to give your body a real opportunity to heal.

And I know what some of you are thinking…

**“Okay Megan…then WHAT CAN I EAT?!” 😂**

Here’s the thing.

I know changing the way you eat—even for a few months—can bring up a LOT of emotions.

We all have different tastes. Different habits. Different relationships with food.

But if you want different results, you may have to be willing to **look at food differently than you have before.**

Not just focusing on what you’re taking away…

But getting excited about what you’re ADDING.

For example, this could be a simple start to your day:

🍵 2 cups bone broth
🍓 1½ cups fresh raspberries
🥑 2 oz avocado
Cal 357 - 27 carbs - 33 Protein - 16g Fat

You’re getting protein, healthy fats, fiber, antioxidants and collagen-supporting nutrients—all from REAL food.

The fiber and polyphenols from the raspberries can support a healthy gut microbiome, while the nutrients and amino acids found in bone broth can support the body’s natural repair processes. And those healthy fats from avocado? Your brain will thank you. 😉

Is this the ONLY breakfast you should eat?

Absolutely not.

It’s an example of what it looks like to start thinking differently about food.

**We don’t need to make nutrition miserable to make it effective.**

We need to find foods that support our goals AND that we actually enjoy eating.

That’s where long-term success happens.

And if you want to go MUCH deeper into the *why, what, how and what-do-I-eat-now?!* of gut healing, that’s exactly what we do inside my **online Gut Healing Course.**

I don’t want you to just know WHAT to remove.

I want you to know **how to actually rebuild your nutrition around it.**

Healthy Gut and Inflammation Series.

Before we talk about what to add to your nutrition, we sometimes have to talk about what needs to be removed.

Imagine trying to put out a fire while throwing gasoline on it…..

That's what happens when the body is constantly dealing with inflammation - we keep throwing in supplements to decrease inflammation WHILE eating inflammatory foods….

If you're struggling with bloating, fatigue, joint pain, brain fog, stubborn weight, digestive issues, skin problems, or just feeling "off," your body may not need another supplement. It may simply need a break from the things that are continually fueling the fire.

For 3-6 months, I often encourage people to remove the biggest inflammatory "fire starters" and give their body the opportunity to do what it was designed to do—heal.

Some of the biggest ones include:
🔥 Added sugars and artificial sweeteners
🔥 Gluten and refined grains
🔥 Ultra-processed foods
🔥 Dairy
🔥 Alcohol

Instead, build your meals around real, whole foods:
🥑 Healthy fats
🥦 Vegetables
🍓 Fruit
🫘 Beans and legumes
🥜 Nuts and seeds
🍠 Quality carbohydrates
🌿 Herbs and spices
💧 Plenty of water

Will this fix everything overnight? No.

But reducing the constant inflammatory load gives your gut, immune system, hormones, and metabolism the space they need to recover.

Healing isn't usually about finding the one magical food—it's about consistently removing the things that keep getting in the way.

If the idea of changing your nutrition feels overwhelming, it doesn't have to be all or nothing.

Inside my nutrition course, I walk you through this transition in a progressive, manageable way with recipes, grocery guidance, meal ideas, and step-by-step support so you can build habits that actually last.

My goal isn't perfection—it's helping you create a way of eating that supports healing while still fitting your real life.

Is it work?
Yeah.
But isn’t worth it? 110%

Let me know if this is helpful or if you’d like information on our gut protocol.

The other day I heard a quote that has really stuck with me:

**”If you have a product that changes people’s lives, it’s your duty to promote it.”**

Yesterday we had our regular Whole ConFITence online community call.

This space was built to house our **Keys to ConFITence**, **Gut Rehab**, and **Foundations to Strength Training** courses (and we will continue to build!)—but it’s become so much more than that.

It’s become a place where women from multiple states gather a couple times a month virtually because they’ve decided they’re done trying to figure it all out alone.

These are already capable, independent, brave women. They aren’t looking for someone to rescue them. They’re looking for a place that challenges them, supports them, and reminds them that lasting change happens one decision at a time.

Every week we come together to grow mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. We celebrate wins, work through setbacks, ask hard questions, and keep showing up.

Inside you’ll find:
• Meal plans and nutrition guidance
• Strength training programs
• Direct access to your own personal trainer! My clients and this community get to “pick my brain,” anytime they need - they have direct access.
• A supportive community that truly knows your name
• Courses designed to help you build confidence from the inside out

This is the **last week** our Founding Member rate will be available.

Beginning next week (Aug 10/26), the price increases by **$200** for founding membership and $20 for monthly.

If you’ve been sitting on the fence, waiting for the “perfect” time, this is your invitation.

Investing in yourself is rarely convenient—but it is often the decision that changes everything. I’ve been training women for 20 years and I know the programs developed here and my ongoing commitment to education and empowerment - WILL change your life.

Because confidence isn’t something you stumble upon.

It’s something you build.

Come build it with us. 💛

I get asked all the time:

*"What should I eat?"*
*"How much should I eat?"*
*"Is this good?"*
*"Is that bad?"*

Sometimes people don't even wait for my answer before telling me everything they've heard about what's "healthy" and what's "not."

In an age where nutrition advice is a dime a dozen, it's no wonder so many people are confused. The truth is, nutrition isn't usually black and white.

You've probably heard the phrase, **"Nutrition is the key."** I say it often myself.

But before you can choose the right key, you have to know **which door you're trying to unlock.**

Some keys unlock multiple doors—but no single key unlocks every door.

One nutrition expert might tell you to prioritize protein. That key can unlock doors like building muscle, recovering well, preserving strength as you age, and improving body composition.

Another expert might encourage a whole-food, plant-focused approach. That key may unlock doors related to improving digestion, reducing inflammation, increasing fiber intake, or supporting overall health.

Neither approach is automatically "right" or "wrong." The better question is:

**What door are you trying to unlock?**

Are you trying to:

* Build muscle?
* Improve your relationship with food?
* Increase your energy?
* Support your gut health?
* Reduce inflammation?
* Improve athletic performance?
* Create sustainable habits that last?

So often, we're frustrated because we're trying to unlock twelve different doors with one key—or we're following someone else's map instead of deciding where we actually want to go.

As we finish out summer and prepare for a new school season, I want to encourage you to ask yourself one simple question:

**Over the next six months, what door do I want to unlock?**

Once you're clear on the destination, choosing the nutrition that supports that goal becomes much simpler.

Be clear.
Stay focused.
Fuel your purpose.
And live with Whole ConFITence.

Let me know in the comments what door your working to unlock.

It’s easy to think being stiff and sore is normal - it is - but it doesn’t have to be.

We get stiff and sore for a number of reasons…

Poor hydration (get some minerals and potassium in your water.)

Poor movement patterns (thank you sedimentary movement and shoes that don’t actually support natural biomechanics.)

Foods that leave us acidic….

When we continue on in these patterns day after day, year after year stuff and sore is the result.

Today I made a 20 min video on fascia release for the lower body and am dropping it in our closed online community.

Here’s a small tidbit you can add into your warm up routine.

If you’d like to join our o line community where I drop tools for a Whole ConFITent lifestyle from a renewed mind to a strong fit body that can move well - head to www.ConFITent.me/community and sign up for as low as $49/month .

You know the drill...

You've set goals. You've been showing up. You've been putting in the work.
Then all of a sudden...here it comes.

A birthday.
A holiday.
A reunion.
A vacation.

There's always a reason to convince yourself, "It's just one day. I'm going to enjoy myself."
Well, here's a little tough love from your favorite trainer...

Your body doesn't know the difference between Independence Day and any other day on the calendar.

Now, am I saying you can't enjoy your favorite foods on the Fourth of July? Absolutely not.
What I am saying is this: if you're currently pursuing a goal, then your choices on the holiday should still align with that goal.

You don't have to be perfect. You don't have to skip the barbecue or avoid every dessert.
But you do have to be intentional.
Because every decision is a vote for the person you're becoming.

At the end of the day, you either want what you say you want...or you don't.
That's not judgment. That's just the truth.

So celebrate. Spend time with family. Laugh. Make memories. But don't let one day become the excuse that turns into a weekend, then a week, then a month.
Freedom isn't doing whatever you feel like in the moment.

Real freedom is having the discipline to make choices today that create the life, health, and confidence you want tomorrow.
Happy Independence Day! 🇺🇸
