Lake City Bicycle Co-Op Your not for profit community bicycle shop. Your cash donations help us provide bicycles to kids who otherwise would not be able to afford one.

Here at Lake City Bicycle Collective in Coeur d'Alene Idaho we believe that everyone regardless of social or economic status should have access to a bicycle. A bike is a tool to create opportunity and empowerment. It creates a feeling of connectedness to the community. Our programs makes this attainable by refurbishing bicycles that might otherwise end up in the landfill. Instead of becoming garbage the bikes are returned to the community at low and often times no cost. Bicycles are either sold at an affordable price, (based on a person's ability to pay), given to children, and given at no cost to other community help organizations we partner with. The bicycles that are sold provide funds to continue to provide free bicycles to children of low-income families, free bicycle education classes, and free training on bicycle maintenance. A few things:

🚲We are currently NOT accepting donations of bicycles or parts. We have run out of space and need people to come buy bicycles or donate cash.

🛠️We CANNOT take in any repairs or do any service on bicycles at this time. Volunteer time is at maximum.

🔋We DO NOT sell, service, or repair E-BIKES.

“I recently brought in a used bike I purchased for service.

What a great operation. I was assisted by Tom V, a nice, knowledgeable man.
The bike was serviced and tuned up in record time at a very reasonable price.

I viewed some of the bikes you have for sale. The bikes look like new and at reasonable prices. A great opportunity for folks to get a bike for kids, grandkids or themselves. Keep up the good work you're doing.” - Tom B.

Honoring and Remembering 🇺🇸

Today, we pause to remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. We are deeply grateful for their selflessness, which allows us the freedom to gather, build community, and share the road together.

In observance of Memorial Day, the co-op will be closed today so our volunteers can spend time with their families and loved ones.

We will see you back at the shop during our regular hours. Enjoy the day, stay safe out there, and look out for one another.

There is a specific kind of freedom found in a spring breeze and a steady chain.

Our current inventory of refurbished bicycles is ready for the road. When you choose a used ride from us, you aren't just recycling a great machine; you are investing in the Coeur d’Alene community.
