We would like to thank all of our athletes for their dedication, hard work, and commitment throughout a great season. We are proud of everything each player accomplished and the effort they gave to their team.

The Little League Majors Field received a facelift this weekend thanks to these volunteers! A much needed leveling, fresh clay mix, and a brand new pitching mound.

I have never seen a kid step on the mound and think: "You know what, today I’m going to walk everyone."

Never. Not once.

Every pitcher, especially young pitchers, wants to throw strikes.
They’re trying. They’re nervous. They’re competing. And most of the time they’re already putting more pressure on themselves than anyone in the stands ever could.

So help me understand something.

Why do parents, coaches, and fans think yelling “THROW STRIKES!” from the stands, over and over again, somehow helps?
Do we really believe that kid on the mound suddenly thinks:
"Oh wow, I didn’t think of that. Thanks!" Of course not.

All it does is:
• Increase pressure
• Increase anxiety
• Make the moment feel bigger than it already is
• Remind the kid that everyone is watching every mistake
And here’s the truth most people miss:

Pitching is one of the most mentally demanding things a young athlete can do. You're standing alone on a mound with every eye on you. When things start going wrong, the last thing a kid needs is 20 people reminding him of it.

Instead of yelling instructions from the stands, imagine if we tried this:

Encourage effort.
Encourage composure.
Encourage confidence.
Let the coaches coach.
Young pitchers don't need more noise. They need support and belief while they figure it out.
