White trout are biting best right now, with local anglers reporting strong action after dark. Catfish and drum are also being caught, and calm water conditions continue to make for excellent fishing.

Cedar Point Pier is open 24/7, so there's plenty of time to get a line in the water.

The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office is no longer using Cedar Point Pier for search operations.

Cedar Point Pier is reopened to the public.

Cedar Point Pier is temporarily closed as MCSO Flotilla, Daphne Search & Rescue and other responders are searching for a fisherman who fell off the pier early this morning. We’ll post an update when more info is available.

GREAT NEWS: Mobile County’s Cedar Point Pier will reopen to the public at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, resuming normal access.

Cedar Point Pier remains free and open 24 hours a day, and no saltwater fishing license is required for Alabama residents. Recent upgrades include new accessibility improvements designed to ensure the pier can be enjoyed by families, residents and visitors of all ages and abilities.

The improvements support the long-term preservation of the pier as a community gathering place and help ensure it remains available for future generations to enjoy.
