Taekwondo Athletic Center, teamTAC, located in Coconut Creek, FL, is a family-owned business that opened in August 2007. Taekwondo Athletic Center's training programs cover a range of training including the traditional training of the Korean Martial Art - Taekwondo, Olympic Sport Taekwondo, self-defense as well as plyometrics to build strength and endurance. At Taekwondo Athletic Center, we believe all these go hand in hand in creating a well-rounded athlete. Athletes interested in pursuing Taekwondo competitively, Taekwondo Athletic Center offers an excellent tournament training program, instruction, and coaching led by Coach Juan Catalan, US National Champion and US OPEN Gold and Silver Medalist. Coach Catalan has been training and competing for over 25 years. Taekwondo Athletic Center, under the direction/instruction of Coach Catalan has produced State, National and International champions. Taekwondo Athletic Center's teamTAC consists of both male and female Junior and Senior athletes and provides the goal–oriented athletes opportunities to compete at Local, National and International tournaments, some of which aspire to compete in the Olympic Games. Taekwondo Athletic Center also provides traditional training with the same intensity as the competition team's training for athletes that want to learn taekwondo but not necessarily compete, but do not be surprised if the competition bug bites you! The training received at Taekwondo Athletic Center will stay with the athlete throughout their athletic career, be it professional or recreational.
