The Gators and Baby Gators were a lot of fun. We had a great car for the Gators but came up short in round 3 with an 11 total pack. At the Baby Gators we found a large crack in the timing cover before round 1, so we decided to load up the car before something really broke. The first race of the year has concluded successfully. Everything went smoothly as I made 5 passes without needing any car adjustments, aside from rectifying a fuel line issue that arose in round one due to my oversight. With the initial event behind us, we are now geared up for the Orlando Div2 race, followed by an appearance at Gainesville for the Gators, setting the tone for a promising year.

Q1 at Indy we burnt number 2 piston. Trying to get on it to make sure we qualify!! After a all nighter to get a new one in we made Q3 with our old tune up and went 6.42@211. We are number 29. We are in the show so now it’s a bracket race! Thank you to John L Platt (Dad) and Jim Durrett for doing whats needed to be done to get back up and running. Round 1 is tomorrow for us!!

We are currently at Indy awaiting necessary parts to repair the vehicle. Unfortunately, our racing performance this year has been subpar. Despite securing five round wins, we have been unable to advance to the subsequent round thus far. Hopefully, our luck will improve at the Big Go. When racing at speeds exceeding 200 MPH in just six seconds, mechanical failures are inevitable.

We did wind up, winning round one. With my opponent going red. But we did break the belt going to the distributor as well with no back up on the trailer. We will have a new one delivered ar indy and be ready for that Event next. It’ been a tuff year ongthe road! And the second half is just starting!!
