Congrats to Georgetown Basketball player Jordan Riley. The 6’4” sophomore scored a season high 12 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals vs Villanova Basketball.

We trained together from his 8th grade year through his sophomore year in HS. We would then meet at various times to work on certain aspects of his game that I would notice needed attention.

Don’t be surprised to see him start to play major minutes. He is definitely the best athlete I’ve ever trained, and is extremely strong, nice handle, can get to the hoop against anyone.

He also has a 46” vertical as well, which makes him very dangerous off the dribble and into the lane. I believe he could be a shutdown defender if he puts his mind to it. His jumpshot is an area that will be more consistent as he gets more minutes. Lastly, he is an excellent student and a well rounded young man.

Thoughts on Maryland Basketball.

It’s clearly a huge advantage for Maryland to play at home. The students make it a very tough environment for any team. IL def struggled at times as the fans are truly MD’s best 6th man!

IMO, MD’s offense should go through Scott as he can get others involved. He can shoot from 12-15’ as well as take his man off the dribble and score inside. He had 2-3 really nice NBA moves to the hoop.

Will be interesting to see who steps up for them as the season progresses.

Young hit his three’s last night, yet he must be more of a facilitator to get the other players involved. Cant rely on him scoring 20 points a game.

Hart could the guy that steps up for them. Lastly, they are a small team and must run vs taller opponents.
They hustled on defense, but got tired in second half

NOTE: Coleman Hawkins #33 for IL is going to be a very good player. Has an NBA game. 6’10”, playing the 1 and 2 positions. Has a beautiful jumper. Very long and can handle the ball as well. Should only improve over this season and next year. Needs to improve his stamina. He was exhausted in the second half.

Watching Zed Key OSU vs Duke on ESPN.
He has played a strong game, scoring 21 points and 8 rebounds. Still waiting for him to catch and then turn and face defender. He can score with sideways jab step into defender, then short jumper, or swing low, one dribble .

Video attached… Two more years of eligibility. His snake has four years of eligibility left 🙂

5:30 am workouts for three years.
