Happy Birthday, Sara! 🎉🐴

Today we are celebrating Sara Stone, who has been a valued part of the SMACC and Twin Ponds family for many years. After spending about five years as a veterinary technician with SMACC, Sara brought her knowledge, experience, and passion for horse care to Twin Ponds Farm, where she now serves as our Rehabilitation and Fitness Coordinator.

Sara plays an incredible role in the recovery and conditioning of the horses in our program, but what truly sets her apart is the care she puts into every horse and every client relationship. She takes the time to connect with owners, celebrate milestones, work through challenges, and become a meaningful part of each horse’s journey. Whether a horse is recovering from an injury, building strength, or working toward performance goals, Sara is there every step of the way.

Her dedication, compassion, and commitment to both horses and people make a lasting impact every day. We are so grateful for everything she does and are lucky to have her as part of our team.

Please join us in wishing Sara a very happy birthday! 🎂💙🐴

Another great tool available at Twin Ponds Farm!

Our horse walker provides controlled, consistent exercise that can be tailored to each horse’s individual needs. Whether a horse is recovering from an injury, returning to work, or simply maintaining fitness, the walker allows for safe movement while reducing the demands of under-saddle exercise.

It’s just one of the many ways we support horses through every stage of recovery, conditioning, and performance.

Happy June! ☀️

We have so much to be grateful for this month. From quiet mornings in the barn to horses thriving in their training, recovery, and daily routines, it’s a reminder of how lucky we are to do what we love every day.

A little sneak peek into life at Twin Ponds Farm. We’re looking forward to all that June has in store.

Managing ophthalmology cases takes an incredible amount of time, attention to detail, and consistency. One of the things we’re especially grateful for is Dr. Nikki Scherrer’s dedication to our patients and clients.

For many of these horses, she walks through the barn nearly every single day, evaluating progress, adjusting treatment plans, and making sure nothing gets missed. Eye cases are rarely simple, and that level of hands-on care and follow-up is something truly special.

Having that continuity and commitment right here at Twin Ponds Farm brings tremendous value to our horses and their people, and we’re so thankful to work alongside Dr. Scherrer to help support the best possible outcomes. ✨

Today we remember and honor those who gave their lives in service to our country.

As we spend time in the barn and with the horses, we’re grateful for the freedom and opportunity to do what we love. Wishing everyone a peaceful and meaningful Memorial Day.

We loved seeing Sea of Clouds “Socs” and Olivia Dutton featured in The Chronicle of the Horse.

Following eye surgery, Socs spent time at Twin Ponds for rehabilitation and continued recovery while working toward his return to competition. Cases like these are a true team effort, and we are so grateful to work alongside Dr. Nikki Scherrer and the ophthalmology team, whose expertise, guidance, and continued rechecks helped support Socs throughout his recovery.

From medication schedules and daily management to controlled exercise and aqua treadmill conditioning, it has been incredibly rewarding to watch Socs continue progressing.

Congratulations to Olivia and everyone involved. We are proud to have played a role in his journey back to eventing.

Spectators at the Cosequin Lexington CCI4*-S (Kentucky) may have noticed something unusual about Olivia Dutton’s horse as he galloped around the four-star cross-country course: Sea of Clouds, her father Phillip Dutton’s former five-star mount, now has a cloudy eye. We caught up with Olivia to find out about the injury, the surgery and the recovery process that helped him feel himself again.

Gabby, veterinary technician with Sports Medicine Associates of Chester County, brought Zeus to Twin Ponds Farm to incorporate the aqua treadmill into his conditioning program.

As they work toward earning their Bronze Medal in dressage and continue moving up the levels, we are so excited to be a small part of their journey.

It’s always special to support the horses behind the people who care for so many others 🤍

Another valuable tool utilized at Twin Ponds Farm is the combi floor and solarium.

Often incorporated before or after exercise sessions, this setup combines vibration therapy with gentle warmth to support circulation, relaxation, muscle comfort, and recovery throughout rehabilitation and conditioning programs.

Each horse’s program is individualized based on their specific needs and stage of work.
