🚧Construction to replace the bridge on Route 6 over French Creek in Hayfield and Woodcock townships, Crawford County is underway. This bridge is located between the intersection of Morris Road and the intersection of Black Road, approximately 2 miles southwest of Saegertown.

🛶If paddling, it is recommended to avoid this area. This means you should not launch from Bertram Park (River Mile 39) or Saegertown Fish and Boat Launch (River Mile 38) and go downstream toward Meadville.

A portage route has been provided by PennDOT on the right side of the creek as you look downstream, allowing a takeout upstream of the bridge, and access to the creek across Route 6 on FCVC's Lupher's Landing property below the bridge. No word yet on the difficulty of that portage!

🗺French Creek has many places to see, so consider another route this paddling season! Check out all the official launches on the French Creek Water Trail Map! https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/7094351fdaa747518044ce9917656d6c
