One of the advantages of being experienced (i.e. old) comes from having had numerous associations with skilled anglers. So this morning, when I was racking my brain for options to dupe some uninterested crappies, I recalled my friends Marilyn Black and Darl Black being fans of the classic Beetle Spin. Also, I remembered having had success on this lake slow trolling Galida's Grubz. Putting both presentations into action resulted in a good morning with a bunch of crappies (mostly 10 to 12 inchers), coming to the boat. John Galida Galida's Grubz Fishing with Darl Black

Freshwater fishing tackle for multiple species is piling up, waiting to be placed in the big tent with side curtains (rain won't stop this yard sale) for the Friday 9 am opening of the Fishing Tackle Plus More Yard Sale. (Check out Event by this same name.) Included are a dozen rod and reel combos.
