Update: Both quarters are sold!!

We currently have two quarters of beef available and ready for pick up today. These quarters are from Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma cattle. The price is $875 per quarter. This includes the processing and each quarter weighs approximately 135 lbs. Please contact Gary at 580-927-5408 or Charity at 580-258-0263.

Jagger Farris started working here at H&L a little over a year ago. Since his first day at work the atmosphere at our plant completely changed. Jagger lit up every room he walked into with his smile, laughs, constant jokes, and witty comebacks to any wisecracks sent his way. Gary has always said one of Jaggers biggest talents was turning the heat onto someone else when he was the one catching a hard time for something. Jagger was a sports genius. You could ask him who won any game, any year, what was the score, and who was the MVP and he could likely tell you. Jagger was a member of Coalgate schools quiz team when he was in high school. If it was a sports related question, it was for Jagger, and he was proud to say that he was part of that successful team. Last summer Jagger helped Gary and a couple of the other boys coach a little league baseball team. He made it to almost every game and was their first base coach. He loved arguing with those 7 and 8 year olds, and loved helping with games and practices. Jagger just wanted to be doing something and enjoying himself while he did it. To say Jagger will be missed is an understatement. Our plant is missing a piece that will never be replaced.

Please keep Jagger’s family and friends in your prayers today as he is laid to rest.

Happy Birthday to the “Grinder Guy” at H&L! The grinding department is always a cow behind, because they can’t start until the cow is completely cut up. Payton is normally one of the last ones to leave and does a great job keeping everyone’s burger straight and in whatever kind of packaging they want. Lately he’s been lending a helping hand on the cutting table and really helping out in an area he hasn’t had a lot of practice in. Payton has been a wonderful asset to our team. Happy Birthday Payton! We hope you had a great birthday weekend!

Happy Birthday Eric Schwarz! H&L definitely wouldn’t be the same without you there. Eric is one of the first faces you see when you’re dropping off beef or a deer and he goes out of his way to help anyone that needs it. We would truly be lost without him. Eric we hope you have a great day! Please survive the weekend- we need you in one piece Monday morning.

H&L had a big crew of graduates this year! These kids (or young adults) are some of the hardest workers I know. They have worked and went to school, some weeks working as many hours as they would at a full time job. We are thankful to have been a part of their lives and thankful they have been a part of ours. If you see them give them a pat on the back. They deserve it!!

The day got away from me yesterday before I got to tell everyone that this girl has had a lot of big things going on lately!! Prom a couple of weeks ago, graduation coming up, and turning 18 yesterday!! Kynnidi is growing up on us! Happy Birthday Kynnidi! We hope you had the best day!!
