When we hit our one-year anniversary in July, I quietly decided to throw all comfort zones out the window.
I put a bunch of countries into a hat and let our members draw them at random—they didn't realize they were choosing the sounds, cultures, and styles that would push them past every limit for the rest of the year.
We kicked off July immersed in the heavy rhythms of Jamaica. Last night, we wrapped up August in Japan, dancing to "RASEN in OKINAWA" by Awich. Japanese hip hop and heels dance demand a completely different kind of precision.Sharp, dynamic, and unapologetically grounded.
Stepping into rhythms and languages you’ve never trained or heard can feel intimidating at first, but watching our dancers find their musicality, strength, and raw confidence across every single count has been surreal.
Today, September 1st, we pack our bags and head straight into Colombia. 🇨🇴
