Clovis Karate Dojo Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Karate with emphasis on self defense, self control and self confidence.

Sensei Waldo Casarez is a retired Curry County Sheriff's Investigator who began teaching Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karate in 1978 at the YMCA, here in Clovis. Sensei Patty Casarez, a paralegal for Garrett Law Firm, joined his class as a student in 1979. Together in 1981, they opened Clovis Karate Dojo and have been instructing ever since. Clovis Karate Dojo is a family oriented school that focuses on se

lf-defense, self-confidence and self-control. New students are always welcomed, so feel free to stop by and visit our dojo.

We lost one of the best yesterday in our martial arts family. It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to Sensei Jerry Landrum who passed away yesterday. He will forever be in our hearts. Rest in peace in the loving arms of our Lord, Sensei. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family as they navigate through this difficult time.

We've got the most awesome students ever! One of our blue belts is a real magic master! This tiny tot somehow manages to pull off producing his tuition check from his sleeve, hat, or gi top every single month with a grin that leaves me stunned by his awesomeness! Love it! 👏😊
