Hello Everyone!
Happy Easter!
You can either make excuses or make changes, but you can’t do both. Players and Parents if you want to be the best you can be then we have to start working on ourselves on a daily basis. We have to stop choosing what feels good over what is actually good for our development.
Some key traits of successful teams are:
- Commitment
- Accountability
- Hard Work
Michael Jordan once said, “Champions become champions in the hours, days, weeks, months, and years they spent preparing for it.” I think that this is applicable in our lives. If you want to play baseball/softball in college you have to work like a college player before you become one. Some of the greatest athletes of Michael Jordan, Derek Jeter, and Kobe Bryant were all known for not making excuses.
There is great power in accountability. I’ll end this post with a final quote from Jocko Willink, “Once people stop making excuses, stop blaming other, and take ownership of everything in their lives, they are compelled to take action to solve the problems they are facing”.
Stop making excuses and start making changes. Your future self depends on it.
